Mine has had a protector from day one to avoid scratches. I like the provided stylus that come with the Nokia 5800, however i don.t like the hard plastic point, the point should be of a soft rubber i reckon. Cheers Craig
Today it will be released in KSA only and the price will be 1639riyals.

Hello All, i really love to read your posts and i check GSMARENA daily, i used to be a SE user and defender, but a year back after i bought the n95 8G i becasme a Nokia lover. i have used the 5800 it is very good fast and fun to work with, but compared to the n95 8G i say that the camera of the 5800 is not good, so that is the reason that am not going to buy it, i will wait for the N97. by the way the 5800 is in jordan (Middle east) but (China made) and costs 350 USD.
Does this phone support Skype or VOIP ? How about Windows Media Player?

I have nokia 6270 and its about 1.5 years old. It is a high end high cost mobile from nokia. I and my many friends trusted and bought several nokia costly sets. But after the warranty is over it started giving problem....And when i took it to nokia care, they said [bit can not be repaired[/b], they even did not see what was the problem. Then i took it to another nokia care, and this time they just touched it and told it can't be repaired..... Friends do not buy nokia high end mobile phones because the[b after sells service of nokia is the worst ever[/b].i and my friends are suffering so i thought that i should post my bitter experience to all.....Once your warranty is over your costly set will start giving problem and if it is then its gone because nokia's high end mobile life time is just the warranty period they provide. Most customers are facing this problem.....Friends be alert and please do not buy nokia....

Well put it this way, this is my type of daily usage below, so this might give you some indication on battery life.
I spend about:
- 2 to 3 hours a day listening to music (to and from work)
- Internet surfing on 3g network, about 1.5 to 2.5 hours per day or surfing.
- Internet surfing on wifi, about 1/2 hour when I am home ( i use my laptop when im home)
- Voice calling, probably about 5x 10 minute calls a day
- I don't video call (this isn't a feature i care much about, but like the fact that it's available to me on my mobile and network)
- I'm txt happy, I love to txt, so some days i can send 20 to 30 txt to friends and recieve also.
My battery life is full when I unplug it off the power when I wake up and leave home for work at 8am, then when I come home at around 9pm and I could still have a quarter to half a battery life left, sometimes 2 or 3 bars. It's only gone down to 1 once. Whether I have a good quality battery supplied with mine or I'm not using it that full on, i find the batteries on Nokia's last longer then any SE, Samsung or iphone that i've had in the past.
Anonymous, 29 Dec 2008The iPhone and some Samsung phones give the best sound through headphone's, the 5800 might be ... moreHi,
I find it's personal preference on how loud you want the music blasting into your ears.
I have the iPhone 3g also and i love the ipod function and the sound coming through headphones is very loud, to the point it really hurts my ears, so I can't have it up on full volume ever (loud music in your ears, isn't healthy either). I used to have the Samsung Omnia i900 and the sound coming through headphones on that where quiet low and not that very good at all. I thought the Omnia gave poor performance when it came to headphone sound.
I now use the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Mobile and find that I can have the volume of the music up on full and it's loud, crystal clear and doesn't hurt my ears like the iphone 3g does.
So personally guys, I think it comes down to who wants to be the first one to go deaf ;-), so it's personal preference.
