Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970The Samsung Omnia is PDA Phone and 5800 is Music / Smart touch Screen Phone. I have Omnia and I am very Happy with. Very Good and no problem. I have not seen 5800 yet but based on my experiance of owening Nokia for many years and I have right now most of their recfent phones. Nokia Quality has gone down even though the phone most of time operate good. I had problem with N76 pealing, E66 all kind of Battery and software problem and now have N79 and N85. N85 looks very cheap and bottoms very hard to use and sms too. The N79 if you want to sms then Nokia did not put enough light in the key board to see the numbers od alphabet. WAiting to Change N85 with Nokia 5800 and hopfully the 5800 is good otherwise vever again buy Nokia.
I have Samsung INNOV8, Omnia, and F480 and do not have problem with any of one of them. I am not a Samsung fan and Omnia was my 1st Samsung phone and made me start looking their other high end phones. It seems like the Samsung i7110 will be a great phone too but might be too expensive not out yet. Base on photo it seem likes the Omnia is packaged much lux. nicer than 5800. But I will give it a try when the phone is out.
Anonymous, 13 Nov 2008Go to symbian-freak.com. 5800 will cost around 550 euros by the time it hits the retail stores. My wrong. But its much cheaper in Asian countries, dunno why
Anonymous, 13 Nov 2008Pure lies, thats just a speculation from nowhere. Go to symbian-freak.com. 5800 will cost around 550 euros by the time it hits the retail stores.
Nokia 5800 XpressMusic original price is 279 euros without taxes and subsidies. But don't count on that. 5800 XpressMusic will cost around 430 euros and will add another 100 euro for Nokia Comes With Music Service. And the final price will be around 550 euros which is far away from expected 300-3 euros after the taxes and subsidies. It is not as affordable as you think it is. So I siggest, you get either N79 or N85. They're much more worth it.

i dont think the 19/12/08 is a world wide release date, because taiwan is releasing the phone on the 6th of dec...
Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will be available in UAE, Jordan and KSA on December the 8th...
if i were to purchase the US Version [HSDPA 850/1900], does that mean i cannot use the 3G option when i travel to Europe or Asia where HSDPA 900/2100 used?
After seeing the Review - Questionable about getting it!
I thought touchscreen phones are slim..
