you need to press On/Off button once" pls do not hold it for long time as it will switch off your handset" then it will sent you where you have to choose profiles. E.G. general,Meeting,Outdoor or silent.

then do a hard reset- - - >> *#7370# (security code if asked, is 12345)
then restore your files...
you can now install any software in your 5800, provided that it is compatible with your phone...

Every now and then I get a message " Memory Full, Close some applications and try again" To rectify this problem I have visited the Nokia Care Centre three times but so far it is not rectified. Please hepl me.

The China phone does have problems. You need to upgrade it to version 20. For 4 months I suffered with the phone before upgrading. Then the phone works very well. I hardly use the music function but found the battery to be low. I get it charged every now and then. The camera also is not that great but I hardly use it as well.
I mostly love the touch screen texting and calling. Kinda cool feature. If you want a simple phone go for Nokia 5220. It's just amazing!
After the new software was installed it works like a dream. I have the red phone.
I just got another Blue phone and found the rubber case to be missing. Strange.
Overall a cool phone to carry around.
The reason for not having many songs is that I hardy get to use it at work and also Nokia doesn't have easy syncing with Mac computers. So to use Bluetooth all the time to send songs can be a real pain!

To the owners of the 5800, I've been wondering, can it play VGA(640x480 pixels) resolution at 30fps videos? I'm planning to replace my MP3 player and video player and my old Nokia 8250i....and what does "hot swappable memory cards" mean?.....special thanks...
