Neil, 29 Jan 2017Yeah you're right. I love Symbian so much because of its simplicity and excellent multitas... moreNokia will not have to lay down against android. They have to invent a new software compare to android.I love💘 Nokia, and I will be glad to se Nokia back as leading mobile making company. But in this way this could not possible. They have to try different.
tonymancs, 28 Jan 2017Symbian is dead mate. Not that it's abandoned by Elop but by that time it's way too outdated. ... moreYeah you're right.
I love Symbian so much because of its simplicity and excellent multitasking but it's long been dead.
I'm hoping that Nokia will adopt Sailfish OS in the future to diffentiate itself from the rest of the smartphone makers.
I believe that Android is already common. The market is already flooded with cheap and identical looking devices with Android in it. There is a 50/50 chance that Nokia can survive with Android alone.
Nokia should be different by experimenting something new like what they did with MeeGo in Nokia N9.
Go Nokia! The entire Southeast Asia loves you!
does the newly launched Nokia 6 have an inbuilt automatic call recorder and a notificifaction led?
Dear My God, thanks! because red's page changed to blue's page :((
Nokia, my life's sunset is very near please do it: Worldwide Releasing! Sooner! Seriously I wanna one Nokia's Smartphone for last time
< 3 You Nokia forever
I'am dearly paralyzed. Shocked. 1GB RAM and SD 200 running Asphalt 8 on max setting. I saw Youtube video. OMFG. I will throw away my HTC M8 when new Nokias gonna be here.LONG LIFE THE KING!
Symbian is dead mate. Not that it's abandoned by Elop but by that time it's way too outdated. Don't get me wrong- I love Symbian (Belle and S60 3rd edition fp2). Nokia 808 still runs extremely smoothly even today and I love it. But it supports less than 1GB RAM and single-core CPU only. As it is there was no space for improvements. Far better than start from scratch (Symbian 2) it's better to pick up Sailfish OS- Linux- based (the same with Android) developed by people who made MeeGo OS and has partial apps compactibility with Android.
noisymind, 28 Jan 2017This is great! but it's too late!!excessive late my brother, they had already bungled their chance of retaining their leadership and gianthood with android os in the smartphone industry. so sad, i love Nokia, and i was among those that swore to stay put in their sinking ship then, but when there was no hope at sight, i ain't got no choice than to evaporate. there were a lot of tested and trusted brand of android os'ed' smart phones out there now, so i guess it's over with me and Nokia android phone now. unless if they returns with upgraded symbian os, guess what ???. i may still come back, cos i love symbian os so much.and i've became kinda tired of android os. wanna experience something different.
kk, 28 Jan 2017Worng Nokia had already launched three Android smartphones before 2yearsyeah i had the Nokia X2 DS, it's custom android rom made by Nokia was Awesomee, only the fact that it didn't support Google play store and Google services(because of interference of Microsoft) were disappointing in that model.
In all even with 1gb of Ram and a low end Processor that phone Rocked, never lagged a bit and most importantly it could Play Asphalt 8 at max settings.
And the Ram management was literally awesome, 600+MB free ram always whenever phone is idle and it's Fastlane, loved that the phone.
Maybe Nokia once again come again with a Custom OS(with Google Services this time) to amaze us at the MWC for upcoming models, fingers crossed
Ispan, 28 Jan 2017Camera is not up to the mark....This phone lacks low light conditions performance & in day... moreIn daylight it's camera nearly reaches(and sometimes out performs) Iphone-7+ & S7 Edge.
i don't know what makes you think it's average, yeah it doesn't have OIS but that doesn't count for average buddy.
In low light photography it performs better than everyone in it's price range, so your point doesn't make that sense
noxh, 28 Jan 2017i am also waiting for Nokia Android mobile may it will success because its first time for Noki... moreNokia 6 is Successful in China already first Flash sale wrapped up under 1 minute.
I am waiting to see what it gonna showcase at MWC next month
Camera is not up to the mark....This phone lacks low light conditions performance & in day light it's average performance
k666, 28 Jan 2017Yeah it will get huge ammount of viewers but why ? Is that because of tgis phone is a WOW phon... moreIt seems you don't know what you're talking about. Nokia 6 and Galaxy S8 are in very different price tags and, moreover, you are comparing a midrange with a flagship. And guess what? Not everyone wants a flagship.
Very Good Smartphone,Thanks for Share Nokia specifiation gsmarena.I love Nokia.
i am also waiting for Nokia Android mobile may it will success because its first time for Nokia android mobile
[deleted post]the truth is no one will be on top forever. nokia is the nicest brand of phone we ever knew. before samsung came, nokia is the king. even after samsung comes, nokia is still the king and the best one. no, I dont hate samsung. but really, nokia is still the best. nokia has a damn good performance, nicest screen *even the cheapest one* than samsung *that has same price with nokia*
tonymancs, 28 Jan 2017It's quite here :) Samsung fanboys seem to accepted the fate Galaxy S8 gonna be S6 Mk III. Chi... moreYeah! I'm also waiting for Nokia's big announcement at MWC 2017. I hope that Nokia will launch a Sailfish phone to test consumers response.
Sailfish OS is the most Nokian operating system ever developed since Nokia N9.
The Nokia 6's software is underwhelming and very generic. It is the same as most of the Android phones everywhere.
Oh come on Nokia! Do some experiments! Scrapped that default Android UI and skin it.
