i bought this for my mum as a birthday present few weeks back, she simply love it & addicted to it. its so user-friendly, stylish & yet de price is relatively cheap. in addition, there's a radio function (+ point). its good for elderly, simple & yet looks so classic~ ringing volume is loud. de wordings is BIG. Simply great gift- Nokia 6030(Black)!

The set is perfect, except the IR and PC connectivity. I cannot find its PC connecting cable and there is no IR. So, it would be great if the concerned fellows do something about it.

after i got the 6030 i have got lot of girl friends, because of its superb attractive body (especially in black). most of girls like this mobile(guy).

requirments need...
1. IR
2. Stereo out put
3. The menu button is very small please
change it
4. Need some more pictures.
5. Need some more screen savers.

I Purchased this Phone 2 weeks back.
Very content With the Phone,
Great Executive Looks, Poluphonic sounds are great, very loud, speaker phone is very useful and produces good quality audio.
Basic phone with no pomp and show features, just work phone with brand and looks.

Just Want to know where can i find DATA Cable, does this phone suports it???

I've just bought it - everything seems all right, it's just a perfect model for me. But I've got one problem - the phone calls, in and out, stop after 3 seconds and there is only beeping left. Why ??? What should I do? Please, help me...

I faced a similar problem with call registers - I used the Tamil interface. On selecting a number in the call register - received, missed etc. the phone used to restart.
I took it to the service centre expecting software upgrades. The whiz there did a few click and lo things were alright from then on. I asked him what he did and he said he restored the factory settings.

Regarding the speed of user response I am just quriours which brand has an acceptable one. Samsung, motorola??

Hey all you are all talking about the small usb port in the bottom and i think it is for CAR SET ,right? all of you forgot that .
And if you remove the battery there is 6 HOLES under it like 3310 but it was 4 holes so i needs a cable with 6 BIG pins and a battery holder like 3310
and i wanna ask if i found the cable where is the program which i will install on pc to start copying thanks

Look :
It depends on individual's perspective. i'm not so impressed of the shape, but many ppl felt good. Fine, enjoy.

Cool Features :
1)65K colors!- good to have. it's better than dumb blacknwhite LCD or boring 4096 colors. 2)True Polyphonic!- Again
good feature. Most of the builtin ringtones are good. enjoyable. 3)FM - Having this feature is good (something is better than nothing!) 4)Speaker hpone- Useful feature. Thanks Nokia!.

Drawbacks.:
1)Downloading the polyphonic ringtones and pictures almost seems impossible, for there is no description in the manual to demonstrate it.
2)No instruction as to how to setup GPRS? & download.
3)For those who want to compose their own ringtones, it is a quite disappointment since the feature is not supported.
4)For those who want to compose their own graphics, it is a quite disappointment since the feature is not at all good. it's provided just for the heck of it!!!!.
5)FM: Monoaural. Not Stereo. so, no quality!. It would have been much better if we can listen to the radio directly from the loud speaker without connecting the earphone. but they r using it as antennae.
6)The back cover is very loose. Entire body is delicate. feel like breaking off if u hold it firmly!
7)Major major problem with all nokia phones- NO ELAPSED TIME COUNTER during a call. god knows why Nokia did not find that MOST MOST DESIRED feature.

Answer to Questions :
1)??? who told?. U can adjust the speach volume with Navigation (L/R)keys.
2) Really sucks!. dont know shich cable suits!. various cables specified by people here are bullshit. Mostly (99%)feature is not existing.

hey this fone is quite handy!!
for normal use its outstanding!! i feel
its in the category of 6610!! unlike 6610 the feature of IR is not ther here !!!

anyway usin IR u could only transfer sms or fonbook !! thts not worth i guess !!

anyway 6030 is fine !
sometimes the prob is if some 1 gv miscall na it doesnt recognizes !! (very short miscall)

other features are OK!! DISPLAY is fine

i am njoyin it !!
i bought in MUMBAI (INDIA )for Rs.5200!!!

Bought my nokia more than month ago. It's perfect phone for those who do not need camera phone. But... I need to clean my cover at least for once a week, as it shows all my figerprints. And after the month I had to remove phone covers as the dust was seen on screen inside the phone. But it's a mirror problems i think. If you want to have nice looking phone, every model need more or less casual maitence.

One question about secret code and lifetime timer. Mine shows 0000:37. Yes I have phone 37 days, but I trhink this timer is strange to understand... It counts time in strange format...

Dear Dudes ,I jst went thru all the opinions regrdin Nokia 6030,I m also usin dis set 4om d last 45 days & whn I think bout d worthy price of dis ph., i dont complain. its true it does nt hav some advanced features bt d price u hv paid 4 dis justify its features. I think its 4 dose peple who wants to go 4 a sweet,sexy & simple ph. widout burnin their pockets.Moreovr dont frgt U hv d best Brand i.e "Nokia" in ur hand,the name is enough to satisfy ur lust :-)..
