Does anybody know if the camera on 6070 is any better then the one on 6230?
And how about the lifetime of the battery? Is it any good?

This is the best phone i have ever had. Really easy to use, and really good features.

It is also virtually indestructable,i have dropped it loads of times, and its never broke.

If you were looking for a new phone i would definitley advise getting one of these

For uploading mp3 files and seeting them as ringtones:

Yes, it IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE MP3 FILES AS RINGTONES.

There are at least 2 posibilites:
1. If you have an Infrared port on your PC, you can send the mp3 file to the phone. You need to turn on infrared on the Nokia 6070, put the phone at 5-10 cm from the infrared port of the PC. The PC will automatically recognize your phone and. Select the mp3 file from your PC and copy it on the phone. Then set the mp3 as ringtone ( read the manual to learn how to do this).

2. Transfer by USB cable ( same as infrared)

If you don't have Infrared on the PC or a USB cable for Nokia 6070, ask a friend who has a mobile phone and a usb cable to help you. Transfer the mp3 file on his phone and then by infrared from his phone to yours.

1. It is IMPOSSIBLE to add more memory to your Nokia 6070.

2. There is NO BLUETOOTH on the phone ( only Infrared).

I hope this review will help you to decide if this phone is good for you.
Let's begin.

I like it.
It is a elegant phone, has a simple shape and it is easy to hold in the hand. The keypad is very good, with large keys and the contact point is precise; it is better than SonyEricsson K500i/k510i or Siemens CX65 ( those are the phones used before nokia 6070).
The display is large and the colors are ok. The only thing negative regarding the display is that if you use the phone in direct sun light it is a little difficult to see the info displayed ( I have to add that the contrast is at 50%, if it is at 100% there are no more problems).
I've had no problems regarding reception/aborded calls. I can hear the calling party very good.
The ringtone is strong enough and the vibra is easily felt in the pocket. The sound is not as clear as at the SonyEricsson but it is acceptable.
The phone has a radio which is usefull if you want to listen to the news. There is a thing rather weird. You can listen to the radio on the phone speaker but only if you have the hand's free conected to the phone ( the explanation is that the handsfree acts as an antenna). The radio reception is a medium level ( not all radio station in my area are found); for those found, the quality is at 8 on a 1 - 10 scale.
The menu is Nokia style: easy to use. There is a quick menu which is configurable. The phone has speed dial ( for keys 2 to 9).
The camera is not very good. The only way I'm going to use it is for photo call. Otherwise buy a digital camera for photos. Nokia 6070 is not ment for this.
The memory is small but this is not a problem because i'm using the phone for calling and not for storing mp3 or images. If you need more space buy the S-E K510i ( it has 28MB).
The battery is ok ( around 6 days with 5-10 minutes of calling/day, 30 minutes of radio listening in this 6 days and some useless activity to know the phone better).
To resume all above, I think it is a very good phone for its class. Those who need a phone for calling/sms can rely on this phone. The price is also very good ( 99 USD in Romania on the fidelity program Orange).

If you want alternatief from this 6070, they are Siemens C75 or Motorola L6 or SE K310. Take a look at them and you can compare their feature and what you need.

Got a Nokia 6070 here. The available "writing language" is "English" and I think Arabic or is it Thai? (I can't read it)

Wondering if it's possible to add Chinese text input capability (Traditional Chinese, or Simplified Chinese) and how?

i was just going through the reviews, dhinakaran for you there is a solution, throw your phone on the floor as hard as you can and see the wonders happening, you will have no complaints after that

I bought Nokia 6070 one month ago. when i answer incoming call,sometimes i couldn't hear receiver voice. but in the receiver side he can hear my voice. I don't know what's the problem in phone or service.
