i hd ds fone b4... it vvs reliable... easy to use keypd... but no memory card...

anybody has the answer to my problem? my nokia 6101 displays"local mode" every time i turn it on... how can i turn it off the local mode ?

well if people are still thinking about having this phone...change your mind..i used to have this but i just got an even worse one..
but anywayyyy...
-after like a few weeks the outside was scratched.
-paint came off
-the mini screen broke
-memory is crap
-infared doesnt work
-did i mention scratched?
-screen had all like crap on it
-no bluetooth

although..
-small cute phone
-buttons are gorgeous
-camera was a pretty good VGA camera
-nice design

if you just want it to call and text then its perfect
but if you want to take pictures and send them via bluetooth (obviously cant!)
then its not worth it.

am needing to put my pictures from my phone to my pc.. have got a ca-42 usb cable but when i connect it it says enhancement not supported?? also where am i to get the software (if i need it) to do my pics aswell?? i also can't recieve mms's??? have to got to the optus website.. can any one help me out please???~cheers~juli~

I have had this phone for 3 years now. Porbably the first phone I have ever had with zero problems.
The only problems I have had are (all do to normal wear and tear) FM radio stopped working last month (super expensive cable wore out), and the screen is permanent scratches/indents from the keys)..
BUT battery is still lasting great (VS my other phones I had), and I have dropped this thing countless times and never a problem..
Its gotten to the point I abuse it on purpose so I have a reason to upgrade! nope.. damn thing wont break!

I had one of these phones for a while but decided to sell it, it had a puny vga camera, and no bluetooth, also only 4mb of memory, I mean come on... otherwise it was great,batery very good,fast wap.couldnt get mms to work tho, or push-to-talk, very user friendly and quite good looking, tho my new phone is much lighter, has a 1.3mp cam with flash, and blutooth & 128MB RAM...oh its an LG choc. Its great, a very nice upgrade.

Anyone know anyone who knows how to get the Push to talk feature to work, it sounds really nifty if it works. Didnt they use that in Oceans 13 ?

It´s a good phone your camera is great in compare with others VGAcams but had no memory......

Ive had my 6101 for a year and a half now and it is a great phone its is true you can drop it and it wont break. It has quite a few scratches though but what the heck it still works 100%.

Please read this..This phone is the best it's even better than the N-series you can let it fall from plane and it still won't break maybe just a scratch but that's it let me see you do that with a N-series.i own this phone more than 2 years and it still works great i love the battery life it's great.i've put 2X 4gb memory cards in it I costume the phone i'm a little nerd you know a 3mp camera with optical zooming and a nikon flash and wifi if i could i would make it a touch but that's not possible build a intergrated gps and then at last a usb port for easy access to my Imac i did those things and i had to remove the miniscreen there was no room for those stuff
so if you want to make your 6101 like my 6101 that's worth like a $$600 phone email me oke thanks

i had this phone(nikia 6101) and loved it till it just fell apart(literally) in my hands and at&t wouldnt honor their insurance agreement to replace the phone cuz they said it was discontinued...i am disappointed as i did like the way the phone worked, great sound, the way it was setup etc. guess tho they will remove this cuz what i have said but idc i have the right to my opinion and this is all fact and can be proven...makes me not ever want another nokia phone arghhh...wonder y they discontinued it so fast, maybe cuz it just fell apart and believe me i was very gentle with it...
