hi everyone. i want to make my 6110 nav as my modem, is this possible through my usb port from my cp to my desktop pc just to have an internet access via hsdpa?
the 6110 already come with preloaded map for the country of purchase you don't need to pay even 1c
At Aus there r 2 ways you can use gps
1: FREE, go to Setting-->phone setting -->General --> positioning--->positioning methods, only tick the Third option
delay may happen!
2:FEE, tick 2 3 and 4, using gsm network to give u a better and quicker gps signal!
FSNZ, all you will need to pay for is the Route 66 map for your country if the map is not already unlocked.
After that you don't have to pay anything else (unless you want more maps)
I have just ordered 6110 Nav but really concerened about working with the GPS in Canada. Do I have to pay for it or is it free 'cause I know that the maps of North America are not installed in the phone but are separate in the DVD. So can I assume that we, in North America, have to pay for the usage to the GPS comapny? Please advise!
i have'nt got one but i hear it's pretty good.my friends has one & his is awsome!!! the navigation is unbelievable and sound is crystal clear...i told myself,i need this phone!!!
How do I keep the time to stay displayed when the phone is in power saver mode, It disappears after a few mins and the screen just stays black...
It's not 'creamy'. It's white. And looks like a plastic phone from the Chinese Shop. But... I kindda like it ;) At least it doesn't get soiled like the black one.
iv had this fone since 2 days after it came out... it is loud as hell it is crystal clear the pics are perfect the navigator gets me everywhere i need to go without a problem it has no faults it reads messages to me when i cant be stuffed reading all-in-all it a very well made phone... i hated nokia before but since i got this fone i still hate nokia but not this fone :)

there is nothing to do with gsm service providor,is use lat&long, it using radio reciver and 3 satellites in the space so covers 99% surface of the Planet Earth!
Q:Whats the phone Ram?
A:Internal ram is 36.5 for you to use.
Q:Why can not get 6110?
A:The external speaker supplier for nokia doesn't have anymore speakers for Nokia, Nokia make the phone but not the speaker, so have to wait until the supplier got the speakers for NOkia.
Q:When can we get the 6110 at Aus?
A:NO IDEA! 6 weeks ago nokia guy told me 4 weeks which is 2 weeks ago, still unavailable from the Vodafone supplier, i recon in the mid of Nov.
Q:Is there any problem with the phone?
A:I don't think so, i used this phone for long time now, only problem is sometimes the gps shows you a STUPID way to go to your destanation, only happened on me once, on the phone screen shows you turn left but the voice said TURN RIGHT!! :| , lucky i didn't!!
Q:Is the battery life good:
A:FXXK NO! becoz the high-resalution screen and the gsp!
Q:Does 6110 got good sound and loud enough?
A:It's loud enough plus it got bass as well but i don't know how to make a judgment on the sound, to me it's a phone if the sound is loud and clear is good enough! It's gps phone not a music edition!
Dose this phone working on satellite recieving to provide lat. & long. or it depends on receiving from the gsm service providor?
any body tried it because if so it would be possiple to depend on desert navigation beside using the provided maps for cities
yea. they said there was some defect on the phone. vodashop said they might have stock mid november.
how loud is the music player of this phone compared to the n70 and does it atleast have bass. is the camera dat gud
Hi guys, with response to my fellow SA peeps, I upgraded my MTN contract on Saturday and will receive my 6110 on Thursday (1 November).
We've heard in QLD that there is a Nationwide shortage due to a delay on a part for these handsets. The third party manufacturer in charge of making this part has failed to meet the deadline and hence, the delay on the construction. I'd say December is a pretty accurate time frame.
