I think nokia as got the right idea with the 6111. I run a phone shop and I hear customers every day saying "ow the D500 is nice, shame Nokia doesnt do a slide. Like the SL65 but shame its not a nokia. If Nokia made one id but it." I'm gonna buy one when there available in the UK. Nokia is deffinatly the best seller in my shop there so reliable.

Does anybody else think nokia are trying to copy other successful phones? Other brands have better ideas so they decide to steal them and make them uber crud

no difference to me whether its 1mp or 1.3mp...just 0.3mp difference...is that a big deal?

nokia is great but this phone seems like a copy of samsung SL55...why can't they make better hi-tech designs?on the brighter side, feature-wise, their phones are more user-friendly...

this phone has a cute shape...really small and compact.light weight too! but it has little memory and no card slot...its camera is only 1 megapixel...if its 1.3 it will be better... :) other than that, its a good phone.

SOFTWARE?Nokia 6111 is not a symbian phone..it uses the series 40 software (Nokia 6610,6230,5140)..and it's stupid to buy a non-symbian phone nokia bcoz series 40 software is a crap..samsung D500 has a much, much better software than this one..it won the GSM 2005 Awards for best handset because of the reliable software!

JAMES: Well yes the D500 is great - but there is one VERY important thing were the D500 wont beat 6111 - SOFTWARE!! D500 has very bad software - the software on my old Simens C21 is better!

Of course no memory card, but I can do without : so small cannot take any card.

6111 doesn't intend to compete with D500, but with E630. And in this aspect it wins easily...

Samsung D500 beats nokia 6111 hands down..in specs, design, display, memory, etc..D500 has a much, much better display than this one, it's not worth comparing..it has 5X the memory, better design, better bluetooth, better camera, better video..only d radio wud b advantage of 6111...there's nothing else to argue about..6111 IS NO MATCH TO D500..

is the guy with no name stupid. there are 24 hours in a day not 192. my nokia lasts me about a week in fact i charged 2 days ago and ive been listening to ringtones full blast and the battery hasnt even gone down 1 bar plus i never turn it off. nokia batteries r the best.

fred wot r u talking about the pixels being bad there 262k thts the best around at the moment or at least from wot ive seen. put it this way it has exactly the same brightness of screen as the d500 wich is n ugly brik i used to hate my nokia and loved my samsung but this fone has totally changed my mind nokia all the way. 1 more thing, hope theres no lag wen takin pics

it's a good compact small slider. it has a good camera with 6x zoom. it may look like a copy of some samsung fone but it isn't. it has clearly a new and a better design. I think that Nokia is entering the race back this year with really attractive phones and they all have really good features, and they all perform really nicely.
