You can update your software for free by downloading Nokia software updater from Nokia website. Install it on your pc, and connect your phone 6131 through a USB cable CA-53 to your pc. USB cable on this link:

The software detect your phone and install the newest software. It's easy and free!

the unit's housing can now be replaced, here in our country (Philippines) there is a lot of that type available in Quiapo, Manila or if you want you can also go to the nearest Nokia Service Center and once you gave the downpayment, they are going to order it that would take approximately 2 weeks to arrive (i'm not really sure), that's the info we got when we inquired in one of the service centers here.

It is a great phone! It has lot of functions for a moderate prize or low(it depends of the money you have).
I was told that if you put a 2Gb memory you can have different kinds of problems.
True it is that when you are accesing the memory(1GB) it takes a little time. But common! It works very well and the definition is fantastic. 2 screens that allow you to personalize it is very rare!
Problems: i have had to repair the speaker, but i think that is a common problem in the nokia`s series.
The definition of the cam is not one of the bests... but the cell is not for taking pictures! Better to buy a camera and this phone than to pay a fortune to be able to take "normal" pictures.

Had this phone over 2 years. Loved it! Always reliable, the camera took good quality photos. Would have recommended it to anyone. Then two days ago, the keypad went out. Very disappointed and sad because I don't have the money to replace it. I'd buy another one if I could.
