not had any probs with it at all. easy to use,stores quite a few tunes on it and looks good. even tho got 1.3 mega pixels the camera is really good on it!

I received my Nokia 6131 on T-Mobile contract for free from phones2udirect.co.uk yesterday and was pleased to find that it was a nice size and weight. I am very impressed with the screen quality and size, the keypad, i think, is very easy to use, the interface is simple and it feels good against your ear and looks slick. Sound quality is good.
I thought that the silver plastic around the keys was going to be metal, so was a little disappointed, but not too much.
I am little worried about the flip button packing in at some point, but i guess i'll cross that bridge when i come to it.
Overall a pretty good phone (so far). Fingers crossed it doesn't break or have nasty faults. Anything has to be better than my old phone (nokia 3230) which was utter gash...

Is everyone finding problems with the keypad and camera?

Also, just wondering if anyone has signed up to the Tmobile flext, have you found any hidden charges or is this deal really that good?

Hi neetz. Where did you buy the phone? I think you got a defected one. The best thing to do is to return it to where you bought it, and get a new one. T-mobile can't help you through phone.

Hi, I am totally lovin this phone - but I have a problem! I cant use my camera cos when I try to it says operation failed, camera in standby mode, and for the love of god I have TRIED to sort it, and gettign through to customer services at Tmobile is harder than getting to Mars!! Anyone know how to get it out of standby mode?? I want to take pictures!! :o(

Hi guys, I heard that this one have some software problem. One of my sellers told me not to buy this phone coz 6131 camera is not good and software problem.

very bad POOR palastic for the keypad , duno why nokia ? its a gr8 fone .. it wont stand more than a month before u would have 2 turn it back for a new one !!

if you press menu, then star when the phone is open it locks the keypad so the camara wont turn on.

there is a possibility, but may not a good one.
you can lock the keys and then you are also not able to press the camera button.

it would be nice, when the camera button would only work when the phone is open! it makes no much sense that it works when the phone is closed!

Fantastic phone! In fact the best one I've had in 10 years, looks great too. One question and slight issue ... is there any way to disable the external camera button as it keeps getting pressed by accident and goes into camera mode all the time, especially when in my pocket. Any clues will be gratefully received!

u-arts.co.uk, There are some independant T-mobile stores around the UK that do them, now I got it for £40 because I know the guy who works there, the normal price is £50.
I got mine from the Lakeside Essex shopping centre.

Mine phone came with defective speaker so when talking to someone the sound is very distorted - it's beeing repaired now. It was made in Hungary! Bad quality control or? Other than that, it's very nice phone, good interface and controls (although icons in the main menu could be nicer), good hi-res screen (maybe it has 17.6m colors, but it's not contrasty as and colors are less saturated than on Samsung's 256k color screens) and camera, good keys if you're fingers are not moist. It's gonna replace my two years old Samsung E700.

I really hope the video and photo quality is better than 6111... I am using 6270 and interested in this one. 6270's photo is nice but video is bad and 6270 is quite bulky.

battery life on my nokia 6131 was up to 5 days with moderate use of it (not many phone calls, but often use of calender) ...

a 'calender' issue which is advanced in my opinion is the 'active standby', this means you see your appointments of the day direct in the standby display, a major improvment of the s40 software pattform 3rd edition, which is running on the 6131 (and other nokia mobile phones).
