Hi. I've had this phone for about a year. It has lost its vibrating feature although all the settings for vibration are on! If anyone can help, please mail me: reshamdhaya@gmail.com. Otherwise i'm loving it!

Thanks!

I had switched from a V3 to this one and suffering a lot with it. Voice dialing does not allow pre-entered recordings for each contact (???), which makes it a total mess (you are forced basically to speak aloud the exact text input for a contact name). The included headset is a mess of wires and a tricky connector:so uncomfortable and unpractical, that I'd need to get a bluetooth headset. I'm going back to the V3.

I`ve had one of these phones for 2 years now and I think it`s absolutely great. It never hangs or switches itself off and everything works really well. It has a good internet conection speed on the Opera browser and mine still looks good. I wish Nokia would make an upgraded version of this phone but this time with at least a 2.4 screen or preferably a 2.6.

I have been using this phone since november 2006 and its the only phone i have used for so long time. I don;t find any problem with it. I have used it for GPRS as well and it gave excellent service. I don;t understand why ppl are complaining abt the functionality of the phone.
It is a very good phone.

I really miss this phone. I've only had it for about 9 months. It started to malfunction, the screen was always black, but the keypad was still functional. They said its because I always open/close it too much, so the wire connecting the screen to the keypad got torn apart >.

I have had my 6131 for almost three years now. I have used a leather clip case that is slightly larger than the phone and it has only two spots on the entire phone that have worn through, the rest of the phone is blemish free outside of one deep scratch from a good drop.
After reading all the comments about how some users have indicated problems with the phones functionality making them regard the phone as being a piece of junk I must comment on the issue.
If those users took the time to consider the problem and made the effort to upgrade the firmware to the latest version of 6.10 they would have dicovered that all those prolems have been resolved and the 6131 they flamed would have given them much more to praise. When I got my phone it had version 3.50 and after two weeks of frustration to get the phone to do what I demanded I parked it in the desk drawer for almost an entire year and just used my nextel phone even though it was not saving me an money haha! when I went to the phone a year later, I bought a CA-53 data cable, upgraded the firmware via PCsuite to version 4.2 and discovered most of the issues had vanished, now with version 6.1 the phone is so stable and functional, the battery life has actually extended by about 10 to 15% maybe even 20, and the volume of the ringer has improved enough to hear it ringing while outside my Ford F350 with the engine running sitting on the seat. I can say that of all the phonesw I have passed my way over the years, this 6131 even though it is not the best featured phone like some others, it stands alone when it comes to being the most reliable, but only after the firmware was dealt with!!!
If you have any complaints about the 6131, get the CA-53 data cable for about $40 and deaal with the firmware before posting your issue, your complaint will be much more believable if you are comming here with a legit reason to complain.
