For gilles van steenberg: maybe yor nokia 6210 is not a genuine one. i have a 6210 too, and is one of the first models buyed at the end of 2000, and i don't have any problem at all. the phone is still rocks, belive me! my 6210 is made in germany, and i understand that the genuine 6210 are all made in germany. if your nokia is "made by nokia" or some other country is not a genuine one. if you still have problems with the signal bar, my opinion is to sell it, and very fast. you paid a lot till now!

I have currently a not so good experience with Nokia as a customer service company(in Belgium).
I have problems with receptions since several months. It is very difficult to get the full reception bar - and when my phone misses one little reception stroke, it becomes impossible to call or receive phone calls. Thinking this was a network problem I changed my SIM card. I even checked in a handy phone shop where they told me bad reception was normal in my that area. So I didn't react; till it got so bad that I gave my Nokia 6210 (18 months old) for revision. As the phone is still working (70% of the time) I gave it too late (out of guarantee ) - Nokia told me it couldn't do anything for me. I think it is not normal to get troubles with such an expensive'business' model. I have no choice than to pay for reparation 160EURO. Is this normal? I still wait the 'final' answer from Nokia in Belgium. But so far (2 weeks passed) I didn't get an answer to my letter.

What to do ?

It is a nice phone and a profi one. It is really a little bit long but slim and relative light. One year I used one and I was very satisfy, but now I have a Nokia 5210 and I not so pleased about it. It has some problem whith the network capture and with vibra, it vibrates some time, some time not....:-)

Has all the functions I need, not too small but slim and it's weight is light.
I find it very usefull and friendly to the user.

I used it for more than a year very lovingly&kept it scratchless, but one bad day it started rejecting the SIM. It developed some software poblem which can not be rectified(according to NOKIA technician.I still have the unservicable set as I love it. Can NOKIA people tell me what to do with it?

I like NOKIA 6210 a lot beacause it is a complete package in one like Infrared, WAP and also it has a Bluetooth capability, from this cellphone evolve a bluetooth technology that has very usefull to connect from other device such as PDA, Laptop, PC etc.

Nice handy, maybe little bulky. Huge phonebook is great and SMS memory even better (I have 196 SMSs and 300+ phonebook entries). It has some bugs of course (after deactivation vibra call function, sometimes 6210 is again in vibra mode!)but I can take this. During past 12 months I can say I am satisfied with this phone.
