Good Morning
For those who are intrested to purchase this phone and use in Malaysia.
Couple of things you need to know when using this phone in Malaysia.
1. The Route66 (The Default MAP in this phone) only works in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Singapore only!! Others states in malaysia not covered and cannot be used.
2. The default map and button set to it cannot be change to any other Map software to use its star navigation button which is assign to Route66.
3. For other states map usage.. Please download the Nokia Map. As the only works properly in Malaysia. Only thing is that if need the voice guided assistant and some other extra features you need to pay a monthly subscression which is about RM50.00 to Nokia using your credit card.
4. There is no updated map for other states in Malaysia for Route 66 program other then Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Singapore.
5. The build in maps by Route 66 is only the basic version. If you need more function then you need to upgrade online thru your phone and pay EURO 50.00 if not mistaken.
So guys and girls who is staying outside Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Singapore is not worth it to buy this phone as it will be a waste.
I have spoken to Nokia Careline about this and they said they can't do anything about it.
One more thing, please take note that the USB and Memory Card Latch / Cover is very Fragile and easly broken if you don't open carefully whenever you want to use the USB Port or change / update the memory card.
Thank You

1. Yup the maps for Nokia Maps are free. However, you have to subscribe/pay for the voice-to-voice navifation and route paying. That sucks. Otherwise, you can use the maps to look around for free.
2. Yes, you can install 3rd party softwares like Garmin etc. However I have not find any other GPS companies releasing software for this phone yet. Maybe market is still new/small :-(
3. I find that the phone battery life is somewhat short. With the accelerometer turned off, it lasts me around 4 days. I text and call moderately. Very much short of the 220 hrs of standby IMHO.
4. It does not lag. Very important for me.
5. The music player is good. Albumart however does not work for me.
6. Supports .avi movies.
7. I dont think VOIP is possible.
