I would like to find out if this phone lags?
For instance, to open an image, how long does it take (approximately) to load? Does it gets very very slow when alot of phone memory has been taken up?
the batery life depending the use. is relatif. with mp3 (3/4 hours), radio (rds), joy with features now in begining .2/3 days. When you use only calls and messeges, ir will more time.
Odietz, 30 Jun 2008Well guys, even though it's not a music oriented phone, the review actually said the music qua... morethe music section is very good. i buy the sennheiser cx-300 2.5mm and is excellent. the equalizer have a intensive bass. is very good. whit the original hedset hs-47 i don't use, so... if you can buy a hedset with 2.5 mm, buy him. don't use a adaptor. it lost quality.
mac2lay, 30 Jun 2008how much and where did you buy? which keypad is better the 6120 c or the 6220 c?the keypad is better that 6120. i have both. and is much bigger and soft.
tugastyle, 30 Jun 2008you can buy this phone in portugal at ensitel shops for 289€it's wrong: 389 euros. not 289 euros.
Guywith6220, 01 Jul 2008Here are my comments after a few days usage: Pros: Very light, small, packed full of featur... moredude they announced the zn5 5mp phone a few days ago you cant get it yet but you can soon
Here are my comments after a few days usage:
Pros: Very light, small, packed full of features, 5mx camera with great flash, can upload images onto web very easily from the phone itself, nice screen, 1GB micro-SD card as standard (can upgrade up to 8GB), nice design.
Cons: Keypad is starting to annoy me and I don't look forward to writing text messages, MyOwn Key function (after setting my own personal option) does not work all the time where it sometimes goes into Maps (very annoying), battery life is not very impressive at all.
I prefer this one to the N82 as I don't like the keypad at all on the N82, and the N82 is heavier/costlier.
If it wasn't for the 5mx camera, I would not have chosen this phone at all. I sometimes feel to go back to my old phone. Maybe I am fussy.
Motorola have stuffed it. They have nothing available with a 3.2mx camera or better. Such a shame, as I prefer Motorola.
my god... this is my dream phone.
i hope and i pray that someone will give me this kind of phone...
thank you in advance.
this will be a very nice gift this coming holiday season.
About availability: At the moment in Finland, only one shop has them is stock, others state 11.7. or later.
And at least in Finland it's not tied to any certain operator. But then again, some countries have a different culture for that. But in here it's common to buy phone and service separately. I don't know if there is even one phone on the market that is service provider exclusive.
About the keypad (hard/soft): I think it would be "hard".
About VGA at 30fps: I've heard some talking about multimedia optimizations in the FP2... Maybe this was enough to make it possible?
About color: at the time I ordered mine, it was only available in BLACK. Purple (plum) coming later.
About battery: it's not a very long lasting battery. Especially if you use a lot of flash and GPS.
I noticed it's a good idea to disable geotagging while indoors, because after every taken photo it will try to find the satellites, but never actually find them. Well, not really important feature to me, so I disabled it and probably will keep it off (even if outdoors).
These few first days have been quite a bit of dabbling and trying out different features, so now that things start to settle down, we'll see how long it lasts in "average use".
BTW, it might have problems showing the "real" capacity. Just few minutes after I checked that it had at least half battery left, it went dead on me. Remains to be seen whether it was onetime flaw or some bigger issue...
About heat: Once during a longer call (40 mins) it warmed up a little bit, not hot though.
Like I said before, the lens cover is crap. It's even worse than the one in N95 (non-8Gb). I hope they'd make a new version of this with better cover.
Another thing: I don't know how it's with other GPS-phones (and/or manufacturers), but don't expect the GPS in this phone to be the same as in typical car navigators. If you want proper navigation, you'll have to pay extra for it (7-day, 1-month or 1-year licence fees).
In my opinion: totally crap idea (for example one year costs about 60€, 1 week about 6€).
PS. Yes, I knew this BEFORE I ordered it. But the limitations were even worse than I feared. So don't get your hopes up for free navigation.
Well guys, even though it's not a music oriented phone, the review actually said the music quality is like N81!
Anyone knows if this handset will heat up quickly like 6120 or 6500?
I just bought the fone, very happy with it, i used to have a 6120 classic, i have to say this one out does it by far. The buttons, the camera is good, good sound....all in all great fone, very happy
Eric, 30 Jun 2008Wait I have another question. When you take pics can you upload them to a computer with the USB? ofcourse, you can.
