6230 software was a piece of junk, this coming from a Nokia lover, bad mmc management, very slow interface, totally dreadful. This device, if it can actually recognize the MMC as a seperate HD and you can actually load stuff into it directly, without any transfer limitations besides the MMC size, it will be worth a look. If not they better leave out the MMC until they have a good way to integrate it into Series40 platform.

If the same problems persist, the shameful e-mail client, the lackluster menu, the full throttle annoyance 5way navigator will surely divert people to Series60.

BTW most of the people who post here look at specs, the MegaPixel and mp3 player and comment on a phone that has not been out yet. What are you 12?

A Word of advice, the most useful asset of a phone is the user friendliness not the mp3 player or the camera you will rarely use. Never buy a phone without decently checking its menu, its ease of use. 6230 was a shame to Nokia brand, hope the i at the end of 6230
(i)mproves that.

The ideea for a beep when you log into the network is silly. That's why i love Nokia...no stupid sounds while useing the phone.

Can anybody tell me how the performance is measured and rated while the device is not out yet?

P.S.
Don't you Nokia fans think that it would be a great addition to the numerous features if they put kind of an alarm to notify the connection, instead of the caller looking at the screen or puting the phone by the ear? Like Samsung and....

can t wait till it comes out, great phone with all the featurs needed, and the cool headset coming out soon after, will be a great combo. Only issue I don t know, how good is the picture quality going to be. Good enough to print? Saw the se K750 pics and they look amazing. Any links for pics taken with the 6230i?

Actually this is THE best phone. Just look at all its capabilities! I think the screen is perfect, not too big, not too small. Bluetooth, Infrared... Its NOT small-sized, Its normal. I like it.

Why are all the phones getting smaller while my hands aren't? This phone has best performance, but I would like to see it with a screen like the Nokia 6670. I think for certain applications a bigger screen can be much more useful!

nice phone. but why the confusing name? why not a 6231 or something? non-techie people are going to be confused. also the back is ugly.

I was gonna buy 6230. Now, i version gonna be out, let me wait until it is released. Interestingly, this gonna be the only phone in the whole-wide-world just suitable for me (a) small size to fit in my jeans (b) mp3 player with lots of space on mmc card and (c) calendar to remind me birthdays and anniversaries. (If only SE phones had repeatable schedule in it's calendar system, I might have opted them. Nokia really does extensive research in User-Friendliness and hence is a winner).

The only reason I am staying with Nokia is because they have JUST the correct software/feature set I need in a phone. SE, Samsung are better in screen, design etc but software-wise, looks like have been developed by college-dropouts. (Except SE P series phones). Could Nokia 6230i be a breakthrough!!??

JB, im NOT a chinese.

the fact is, i like nokia.
i said nokia strongest point is the 'user friendly'.
samsung has the best design, while se has the best feature. thats 'i m o', okay?

nokia best design so far is 6170, again 'i m o'... but look at the feature!

6230 is great phone in it's era.
but not 6230i... whoops... again 'i m o'... okay?
