Bought it only to ease updates and syncronizing with my PC and Outlook, BUT: impossible to import/syncronize phonebook since the phone only shows FirstName-LastName!!!! Nokia has admitted that standard (and only) is FirstName-LastName!!!!! Everything else works perfect, but with a phonebook with 500 names I am tempted to buy another phone. Any ideas to get around the problem???

The nokia 6230i is one of the best phones ever designed by Nokia. Its fantastic, full of exciting features and I have one for almost 1 year now and its functioning just great! I love it! Never regretted any moment when I purchased my Nokia 6230i! Thanks Nokia!

Can anybody tell me which phone's keyboard is more comfortable, 6230i or samsung x700? Which phone's keyboard is better for people with big fingers :) ?

The worst Nokia phone i ever had so far:
1.poor battery life
2.it freezes when i want to play some clips
3.the bluetooth randomly stops when i want to transfer something from my laptop (Samsung x50 WVM 2130) or my PDA ( Dell Axim X51)
4.bad reception when i'm in underground parking lot
Conclusion : my next mobile phone will be K750i by Sony Ericsson

Hi , i have got a problem with 6230i .
I cant send any files to nokia 6600 through bluetooth. Anyone pls help me as soon as possible .
the s/w version is 3.62 .

Great phone!!! No problems with it... If you really want a phone thats not piky on stuff like wallpapers or something choose a symbian. But for thos who want the total package i recomend this phone.

Hi guys, I've got a problem, I own a 6230i, and although the technical specifications say that the phone has a MPEG4 video playback capability, my phone hasn't. A friend of mine sent me a mpeg4 video from a N70 and when I open it, the message appears:"operation failed". The file is shown with a video icon and not with a question mark icon, so the phone knows that it is a video but it cannot play it. It's weird, does anybody has the same problem? Can you please give me a thought? Do I have to download an update? Please help me...

my nokia 6230i is just perfeckt !i cant say nothyng bad for this pfone ! is just incredable ! i know all for this phone and so if someone have a problem with te 6230i speak with me :D, and i want to say if you have a money for a little exxpensive phone buy the nokia 6230i ! nokia is show that the NOkia have the best models for phones!!!!!!!

If you put a larger size mmc into your phone (512), the phone functions will only go slower if you fill it up completely, or if you set heeps of different true tones for each persons ring, or msg tones etc

Asma,
To make your speaker louder or softer is by using the side button on the left side of the screen. It's a bit vague and flat box. Press it up or down to set the volume. If you press the up button for a few seconds, it will ask if you want to activate Push To Talk function(only work if your network capable of it)
To copy from phone to sim, that depends on SIM capability, coz phone memory has 5 field for each name. Maybe that's the problem, SIM can't accept multi-field name(even it's blank)

1. how do we lower/ raise speaker volume while talking??
2. is it with me or the pic thru camera has so mamy spots on it!! it worse than 6600!!
3. how do i copy contacts to my sim from phone memory?? when ever copying begins, it is abandoned half way. after 2 or three unsuccessful attempts, a note is displayed: target memory full. (although sim is empty!!)

I bought this phone abt a fortnight ago. the very next day all my contact numbers from my sim card was gone. i had to switched off and restarted the phone to all the numbers back. Why did it happen? Is it true that certain games cannot be downloaded because of different format? Otherwise, the phone is ok.

the video quality is is not megapixel.when you will watch mp4 the phone freezes and you will have to turn it off.and why does there alwas come the [check info sevice] on mynokia 6230i.i am going to sell my nokia 6230i to buy another phone.the nokia 6230i gives me a headache for real!
