You mean the phone works perfectly with a 1 GB MMC without flaws? That's really nice. I'm looking forward to getting me one (1GB MMC)

RESULT:
First of all, YAY, my phone is back from Nokia :) Well, the result of their check is that the Battery is GOOD, they gave me the print out of a Nokia Mobile Battery Checking and it shows some battery specification and the result is 100% performance so it's good. Then, they say they upgraded the software with Version 3.62 and other thing about IM software?? I dunno what it is.

Well, I have no idea if that's all.. we'll see in a couple of days.

Regarding shutting off.. I just experienced it, not off though. When I'm restoring my data into it, suddenly the screen blank and infrared stop, then it's back again, just like turning back from a screen saver/sleep mode. Is it possible? I hope it won't happen often.

Hi Sarah
got this phone for six months now and it does turns off by itself but only for a couple of times (not that bad). battery life was excellent and my only disappointment was the screen was too small.

Yes, provider matters on the life of battery. But I've been using the same provider with my two previous Nokia and it usually gives 4-5 days standby time with my style of usage.

Yeah, I also believe the problem is with the battery coz the N6230i functioning well on all function, bluetooth, infrared, mp3, radio, games, reminder etc. I'll post it later what the real problem according to Nokia then.

I just like the features and the screen is so nice :o)

TO DENNY,

It obviously depends which provider you are with to determine what state your replacement battery is in. When a phone is showing it is charging and the battery still goes low then it is 100% the battery that has the problem. It's not just a Nokia thing.

For Puppet,
I don't think bigger screen consume more power on this case. Why? Coz Nokia 6600 with bigger screen(eventhough not as bright as 6230i) uses same battery(BL-5C), and according to my friend, it last up to 5 days when it's new on normal usage.

My Nokia 6230i now end up in the Nokia service center for checking and if the battery is broken then they will replace it which is good as usually battery is not warrantied. BUT it's a fair thing to do, as consumer has a right to get a fully functioning New set. Not a bad battery equipped.

Apart from the battery thing, it seems battery problem is quite a lot on Nokia6230i. I wonder why.

The USB cable will only work if you install the PC Suite from the CD that comes with the phone. Try installing the CD first, then plug in the USB cable to the phone. I have done that for my Nokia 6230 and it works.

yeah I agree with Sam, the battery problem (i think so) so dissapoint... I bought it for my girlfriend last 2ndFeb and my gilrfriend keep asking me "is it normal that the battery is not last as espected it suppost to, at least a day for normal use. no calls just about 10-15sms a day and very rare used the camera & games... I'm using 6230 (she is 6230i) to be compare mine last for 2 days with the same use...
Another thing is the charger pin is NOT fully inserted into the 'inlet' and its feel abit loose but it still charging...

I told her that mine (6230) is smaller screen pixel thats why her 6230i is burning more power... but after she said that she has to charge for twice a day that sound something wrong... is it the battery / the phone it self? She tried with different charger but still the same problems.

could anybody teach me how to plug the 6230i to my computer? I've got the usb cable that fits in it (not sure if it's the real one, because the phone doesn't appear to be responding at all when i plug it in) I downloaded nokia suite and tried to follow their instructions but it doesn't detect the phone, I've installed the driver that it tells me to when i plugged the phone by USB
