As far as i know, there is no j2me or flaslite program that has been created to record mp3. But there is a nice "composer" application where you can compose tones like the old days using a nokia 3310. =>
btw, i'll be posting my 2n batch of games and applications suited for the nokia 6233 on my blog site.. just visit from time to time...
> Before 6233 i had a 3100 (was happy with that phone.. simple basic features)
> Had a Flash Mp3 player (as in portable mp3 player) and for me, the sound of my 6233 is way cool over that of the mp3 player (using headsets ok?).. maybe its because of the mp3 player brand.. it was not an expensive one.. But, comparing the 6233 with other nokia phones (using the speakers) the 6233 outplays the rest with its 2 stereo speakers.
hope this helps
Can anyone plz tell me if their is a MP3 recorder application that can be downloaded to the 6233
6280 is more expensive than 6233 6233s price is in uk pounds £180-200 6280s price £230-50

i dont know yet i havent showed my friends yet to nervous to show it to them becuse of its design >>> i got this phone 4 months i showed my cousin it my cousin has a SE K750i the stereo speakers on this phone made him red then he got jealous big time and then the camera iv compared to k750i 6233s camera is clearer in resolution
To alan. this is not the cheapest 3g phone. 6630 is. also 6280 is cheaper than 6233 :)
Well, after boiling it down against the Nokia 3250, SE W700i, and even the SE W810i, believe it or not guys, this is the phone I'm getting. Reasons for me getting it:
- Beautiful Big Screen, it's 240 by 320
- VGA at 15 FPS video! What was that, if I wanted 30 FPS I need to get an N93? No thanks.
- SE Phones tend to be buggy, like the fact that long song titles don't scroll when playing (what the christ?!), and many other small but really annoying details that will be a factor in the long run.
- Uses a standard MicroSD format card, up to 2GB!
- Cheapest 3G phone that I can get
Here are some reasons which prevented me from getting this in the first place, but after much thought, turned out to be NOT A FACTOR:
- No video calls (when video calls become standard, I'd have a new phone by then)
- Ear phones included are nowhere near the SE ones, but hey, with the 3.5mm adaptor, I can use my Sennheiser ones!
- S40 OS, I really liked the S60 Task Switcher, it made multi-tasking a dream
So my friends, I hope that you find my opinion helpful, as it took me a week of considerable weighing for me to reach this decision.
plz 6233 users tell me the sound of this phone in ear peace is it like 6630 ,better or worce
Can anyone plz plz plz tell me how to change nokia 6233 casing/covers?????????????????.
isnt V5.92 6280 firmware isnt it i wonder is 6280s firware works with this phone it might do since its the same platform but Nokia in the shop would not put 6280 firmware in 6233 ???
786, my phone comes with firmware v4.52. Everything seems to be running fine as I haven't had a single problem so far.
Do you what's new in firmware v5.92?
Wonder if the short backlight time issue can be addressed by a new firmware.. it's getting frustrating having to depress a button every 10 secs just to read text.
@tropaz >>sound quality is better in this 6233 becuse of the dual stereo speakers
was researching on what's the best mobile in the market today... i was convinced this is one of them... am getting this instead of nokia 6680 and 6670 (the slide problem is quite often mentioned). i was wondering, and if anyone could answer, would a 40 channel polyphonic creates a big difference from a phone that is 60 or 70 channel? its kewl to have a nice... no, awesome-sounding mobile with you... it's sure makes heads turn... DOES IT GREATE THAT BIG OF A DIFFERENCE (the channels)?
This phone is innovation from 6203i i think. but i want to know, is the sound quality same as 6230i? Please...
6233 is better to 6230i,very good phone,battery standby its more to 4days,li polimer,not li-ion 6234 vodafone.
