radar, yes, you can send an SMS to several to recipients at a time.
govin, yes, you can record calls.
Jason, yes, the phone has Bluetooth.
Dawn, you mean to say you haven't gone to the toilet or had a shower since you got the phone?
harry, sorry, but I'm only familiar with the 6233 so I couldn't honestly give you a recommendation. But Dawn says: "If you're thinking about getting this phone I would seriously recommend it over anything that is on the market now." That sounds like a strong endorsement!
Don, sorry, I don't know the answer to any of your questions.
By the way, I frequently miss SMSs too.
I also have the same problem with the SMS alert being so low??? Can this be fixed?
Can someone tell me do you get bluetooth software with the phone??? The PC suite does not have any Bluetooth software on it.
I got my 6233 yesterday and it has not left my hand since! It's an AMAZING phone. I've ahd both the 6230 and the 6230i and this is definintely an improvement as it is meant to be. It's so user friendly and the features are all really good.
I originally had the samsung E900 as an upgrade but sent it back to o2 because it was really hard to use and there are somethings that nokia have, that Samsungs just don't. (vibrate and ring, customiseable alarm tones, FM radio, customiseable.. well... everything basically!)
I'm so glad I got rid of the E900 and got this phone. It's really good and I have had no problems with it so far. I've even bluetoothed files from PC to phone and vice versa and I've not had any of the problems people have mentioned on here.
The only downfall of this phone is its size, it's a bit bulky, but it is in no way cheap looking and it sits nicely in any hand.
Also, to those people complaining that the little 'G' is always on, go to settings -> connectivity -> packet data and turn the packet data connection to 'when needed' that way the logo will only appear when you go on the net.
If you're thinking about getting this phone I would seriously recommend it over anything that is on the market now. It's a return to the days when Nokia ruled the market with phones packed with features and great performance. You really won't be disappointed!
Am on 3rd 6233 1st wouldnt take pics ,second refused a security code and fryed the sim then came up restricted access with new sim. 3rd seems ok except when use bluetooth i seem to get a signal failure till i switch phone on and off. i think there may be a lot of bugs in the system.
its a shame the hamdset only holds 500 contacts, ridiculous////defintaley not an upgrade from the 6230i, does anyone if u can when sending texts messages , send to many? lkike the 6230i?
There is a bug on the screensaver even on the 4.52 firmware, anyone noticed? esp with the digital clock, sometimes the clock will appear & sometimes the screensaver will be blank.
The digital clock screensaver is too small, is there anyway to make it bigger or any places to download a better one?
Is there any way to upgrade my phone's firmware besides bringing it to the Nokia Care Centre? Mines is v3.7
I think it lacks the symbian os. If it does not have symbian OS , it is a very -point of this phone. But non Symbian OS Phones are more speeder than Symbian Phones.
Hello Roger, thanks for the info. Finally am gonna leave my 6230i & go for 6233 with 1GB memory card & I hope it will work incredibly well. Once again am saying thanks to you Roger for the tip.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for the low volume sms alert yet. Really love the phone but the sms alert is so quite you can't hear it go off in your pocket. The preview of the alert is loud but goes very quite when receiving sms's.

Whats the best media player software for nokia that has a fast forward option?
Thanks Andrew....Yeah, the up arrow inbox thing has become a bit of an obsession lol
It's silly things like defaulting to the sender field that irritate, why would they do this.
I went and had a look at another one today, but it was still on v3.70, so I left it.
Thanks for your reply though.
Hi Omegac, I have v4.52.
You cannot add "Inbox" to the up arrow shortcut.
When you reply to an SMS, you still go to the sender field by default.
I have my network mode set to GSM, so can't help you with your 3G question, sorry.
I haven't seen any "SIM card restriction" message when I start up the phone.
You're obviously very keen on setting up a shortcut to the inbox. One workaround is to add Inbox as the first item in the "Go To" list. You can then open the inbox by pressing Go To and then Select. Another is to enable Active Standby, personalise the lowermost panel to "Shortcut bar", and set the middle shortcut bar link to Inbox. You can then open the inbox by pressing up arrow and then Select. It's not as fast as just pressing up arrow, but only requires one additional keypress. Hope that helps!
Excellent phone, the battery is awesome. Just make sure you discharge the battery fully three times, and every now and then. A pleasure to use.
