thanks to duci and owen .. anyways, what the phone came with was a reduced mmc card ... but i only have got a regular mmc card reader. So does that mean i need to purchase a new reader?
Well, you can download applications without using cable. First you have to download and install Nokia PC Suite from Nokia.com and then you have to activate Bluetooth connection. In connection with battery, I had the same problem in the beggining, but now after 2 months having this phone, my battery last for 2-3 days, so you just have to be patient and wait for battery to last longer.
Hello Darwin =)
charge the battery fully.
then drain it completely like you cant turn it on anymore. then fully charge the phone again while its turned off. the green light outside will turn off if its fully charge.
do this cycle twice and your battery will be fine.
after this cycle, you can charge your battery anytime you want even if its not completely drained yet.
I had this exact dilemma when I first bought my 6260, but when i did the above steps its all good now.
my battery lasts 2-3 days with normal use Ü (and still has 1-2 bars left after that).
Hi Rookie =)
If you have a card reader, you can transfer the application file to the MMC and put it back to your phone and open that installation file =)
this phone is good, except maybe the camera... if they had installed a megapixel camera i think it would have made this phone ideal
hi, just bought my 6260 yesterday. so far its ok, but its just that the battery drains very quickly..is that normal? the initial charging i did with my fone is around 12 hrs.. also, can anyone send me photo acute? thanx..
hi .. i am wondering if its possible to like install applications in the phone without using a data cable? i mean, can we like just take out the memory card and install some programs or themes into it? Will it work? A data cable a musy for the 6260? i spent a bomb on the phone alone and dun wish to fork another sum for the cable. Pls advise. Thanks.
Hey Red =)
video quality is like 3650 (though you can get decent quality under a good lighting).
though i've noticed that 6600 has better quality with reagrd to video.
the hinge isnt bad. mine is not loose so far.
i havent dropped my phone and I dont want to try. my advice, avoid dropping it. though i think that if you drop it on a hard surface, it will still work. but after a few drops, i think one of the plastic piece might crack.
you might get bored with 6170. i think it has no expandable memory. it has no bluetooth as well. i've tried it myself and i dont like the interface and the screen (just my own opinion).
I am considering buying the 6260 in the US under t-mobile. need opinions on:
can this phone be dropped or is it too fragile (not that I plan to drop it, but.....)
how is the hinge
6260 vs 6170????
I currently have a 3650 that I LOVE but now I want a flip! Pls help. Thanks
by th way....i LOVE this forum!!!
Hey qi! =)
You're most welcome!
It's good to hear you have the MMC working now.
Don't hesitate to ask any questions here. It's a good idea you visited this forum because there's a lot of help you can get here from different people.
And also, it would not hurt if you ask your friends for good products that they've already tried before buying it =)
enjoy your phone!
Owen,U really did great help at this forum.I sincerely thank u.i went to change my mmc and it works now.=D
and oh qi! additional thought...
...check if your RS-MMC (Reduced Size MMC) is the regular one and not the Dual Voltage RS-MMC (DV RS-MMC) for 6630. That will not really work with 6260.
Hey qi =)
Yes it can read 256MB RS-MMC.
If you've read on our previous posts, we've discussed about RS-MMC compatibility issues with regard to some memory card brands being picky. Or it could be possible that the card you bought is 100% compatible with 6260 but it might be defective. See if you can have it replaced, or maybe swapped with another brand.
