My opinion is very clear. If u have to play ping pong, but u dont have a racket, just take the 6260 instead. It has the soft side for defense (the display) and the hard side (back) for strike :)). You can actually win.
how can i download a THEMES from the internet?can u gip me the web site?
good to hear that,... yea, I believe most people do know a phone is a phone, just that, if you're paying the same amount for a PHONE and a SMARTPhone, that's a big difference... but since you're getting it for FREE, it' great then... besides, some people might not get used to Symbian or any other SMARTPhones..
BUT, just for a reminder, because many people who bought a non-SMARTphone when they have a choice and later, they saw their *friends* playing with their SMARTphones and all the cool feeatures, they started to regret buying their phones... But, yours is free, so enjoy :)
andy and jb . . . i got the samsung as it was free lol iv gone on contract for first time and the contract is a good one for me plenty of mins texts etc so i got to pick a free phone, yes the nokia has great features comapired to the samsung, but (now im not callin u geeks or anything lol) a phone is just a phone an as long as i can text send pics i dont care lol an the samsung looks really small n cute n as a girl who likes this sort of thing its great for me so . . .*sticks out tounge*
the vga cam is good enough.. but this phone'll be the greatest if they move the keys down, and enlarge the screen.. maybe make it faster.. the rest is all perfect ~
ive always used nokia phones and was very happy...walked into nokia shop ..asked for their best phone 6260...what a rip off...cheap cheap feeling...allthese functions...but the worst buttons....very very.very dissapointed.im trying to get it exchanged now..waiting to hear from them
....forget nokia brand...shop around...i love them...and they screwed behind my back
bad design...dont buy nokia they changed big time
ey Slavyan =)
Yes, you can open applications even in camera mode. I've tried it myself when I read your question.
great phone only thig missing is megapixel cam hope nokia tinks of 6260i like 6230i with better mp3 playback sound like 7710 if any nokia engineer reads this think about this will sure make a bang in market in filpper phone catogery
Andy214, I was just kidding about the games, they were the first thing that came in my mind as an example. My main curiosity was about Photo Acute because since it takes better pictures I'll probably prefer to use it instead of the camera application in 6260.
Anyway, thanks a lot for giving me this information. If I have any further questions I'll ask again.
Everybody which complains about the "Clicking" camera sound when taking pictures...
I don't think there is an option to turn it off,... even for my 6600, if it does, it surely will be removed in later firmware updates...
This is to prevent pervert from snapping *you know what* pictures... I've even read before a rule saying that all camera phones must have flash, but not sure when will it be implemented or they have changed it...
If I'm not wrong, you can, just press the MENU button... Anyway, the CAMERA mode simply RUNS the CAMERA application, if I'm not wrong...
But,... I'm wondering, what games you want to play in CAMERA mode??? Camera games? Like MOSQUITOS?
I wonna ask a very important question (especialy the owners):
When your phone is in Camera Mode can you do whatever you want or you can just take pictures. I mean can can you use other applications like games or Photo Acute for example.
I beg you to answer me soon because I'm planning to buy this phone and it's very important for me to know this.
PHOTO ACUTE is a program with which you can take pictures with resulution 1.3 megapixels (1280x960) although your camera is VGA (640x480). It also makes the colour quality of the picture much better. If you write your e-mail I can send it to you (if you want of course).
been using nokia6260 for almost 2 weeks. everything is great so far. except the clicking sound of the camera. photo acute? what's that? a software that can be bought separately or what?
You can not turn Off the "Click" Sound of the Phone using its built in Software.
BUT You can use "Photo Acute" that works perfect with this Phone and it doesn't make any sound while taking Snaps...
I think that the card was a Kingston or a TwinMOS, but both only are capable of reading 1,6 MB/sec and the Kingston writes only 0,4MB/sec. So i will try to find a brand with high transfers. I tried in a store. At the moment i only use the 32mb that comes with the phone.
I'll try first to find the Transcend cards.
Thanks again. (and not for the last time, i think)
My friend is using 512MB RS-MMC, it's working fine,... wat brand r u using? You have to becareful, certain brand they have bad read/write capabilities... and some are extremely slow...
The RS-MMC my friend is using is Transcend, (the speed should be equivalent to normal MMC with 45X speed)...
I used to have 256MB Apacer MMC for my 6600 and the speed is awfully slow and have problems with my card reader... Then I change to 512MB RS-MMC Transcend (with the adapter), and even though it's 512MB, the speed is still faster than my previous 256MB Apacer MMC!!! I read somewhere that normal sized Apacer MMC is only 1X speed... tough, there're other speed option available already...
Oh, and another case is, my cousin bought a very cheap and life time warranty 512MB RS-MMC for his N-GAGE QD... got many problems, where the phone will lockup during reading of MMC, etc... so, becareful when purchasing the card, so far, Transcend is very friendly to phones...
