I loved my Nokia 6101 of two year ago so when I saw the 6263 it seemed like a great upgrade. I loved the feel and weight - same keypad, navigation as my other so that was bonus, not having to learn a new phone. WHAT a MISTAKE!! $70.00 after rebate in January right? Today they are FREE, the only real complaint I have is the Biggest for me. Battery time!!! NO WAY is this 270 hrs of standby, right out of the box I got 2 days of use from the newly charged battery.
WHO is reviewing these? Every review sounds like a dream. I make an average of 3 calls per day, about 2mn 40 seconds each, don't use the mp3 player, don't surf the net, even had the salesperson turn off anything that might be draining the battery like the screen saver and I barely get 24 hours standby on the thing.
T Mobil did send me a back up battery but what a pain. The 6101 would last me a week, turned on the entire time -charged every Sunday evening. This is a HUGE dissapointment. Two years to go ...I think I'll find an unlocked 6101 on ebay and cut my losses.

To anyone that is interested in a similar product with a slimmer design, may i suggest the Samsung e730. It has the basic versions of features that this phone has in a sleeker design.

this phone is actually intended to be an upgrade from the 6126/6133 - albeit a small one, and i prefer the design of the former. however, the t-mobile version does remove the weird DRM stuff that was on the t-mobile version of the 6133 (like not being able to set MP3s as ringtones or allowing data access from 3rd party apps) but it does so at the cost of a cool sleek design before. it also looks bulkier.
this obviously is a phone that was designed tightly with US carriers intended to benefit the service providers, not the customers which is why so many people flock to ebay to buy unlocked versions of euro phones rather than deal with the watered-down pieces of junk nokias that the us carriers provide.

Um... This looks a lot like a slightly downgraded version of the very similar-looking 6267 (a 1.3MP camera instead of a 2MP unit, etc.). I also do not see anything of the mentioned flash for the camera. And like others here, I can't see any secondary camera for videocalls, either. Perhaps the GSMArena folks were looking at the 6267 by mistake? Or maybe Nokia changed the specs?

This phone has been out for a little while now.
I think I saw that GSMArena mentioned this phone had a secondary videocall camera.
Not on this phone.
