I have done much research on the Nokia 6280, but i don't want to switch my network, it is only available on 3, which i'm really disapointed at.
Well W900 is quite expensive, but it's your decision.
N70 and 6280 are almost same except 6280 has better screen. If you want a smartphone get n70 otherwise 6280.
I've got the Demostration site for you all :)
Video (QCIF) stated on this site is totally wrong. It does have at least CIF recording (30 fps), but many sources are saying that it supports also VGA (15 fps). There are also clips available if you dont believe me.
i have visited nokia web site and gone to the 6280 web site within and it states that this phone does have infrared..... go to the connectivity part of the "phones features"
anon, you mean the older phones right? :)
The newest N-series and E-series have it, BUT some low-end/mid-end phones don't, because they got blutooth.
Q1 = first 3 months of the year (Jan - Mar)
Q2 = second 3 months of the year (Apr - June)
Q3 = third 3 months of the year (Jul - Sep)
Q4 = fourth 3 months of the year (Oct - Dec)
It seems that the latest nokia phones are without infrared facility.
it support mp3. aac y video ringtones its at forum nokia info
yes second camera VGA for video telephony
Does anyone know 100% sure that you can use MP3 music files as a ring tone?
The release date was going to be mid november i"ve heard an hope its just not released on the "3" net work i got the Orange magazine an it was shown in there so hope its out as soon as possible an just hope the camera doesn"t let people down like the other nokia mobiles out now
it is being released late this month/early december, in most markets, on 'three' network in UK.full stop.
so since it says that it will be released in Q1 of 2006...which months does that include?...If i have no use for the second camera...would the 6270 be a better choice?
Yeah, to be honest, if it wasn't for that blasted "no ring + vibrate at the same time" problem that Samsung seems to have, and the inability to change SMS tones, I'd probably have already bought one.
I must say, the 6280 seems to have a much better-looking OS than the Samsung D600 too. That's not to say that the latter is not one fox of a phone.
yeah, i think so too, but here in this link
it says at the bottom part that 6280 may still be available this 4th qtr 2005 but without flash lite embedded, therefore flash lite will be available on 6280 units made next year 1q from then.. D600 has a very good video recorder too!
That link showing the Nokia Powerpoint you posted indicates the Nokia 6280 is going to be released in Q1 2006!
I don't think I can wait for that phone any longer. Blinking Nokia. My patients is running out and the Samsung D600 is looking better everytime I check it out.
The Nokia 6280 uses the new Bleutooth standard 2.0+EDR. This means higher transfer speeds up to 3Mbps and Multi-tasking. See here:
Your PC needs a BT-Dongle 2.0+EDR
this phone will support macromedia flash (lite edition) it means more exciting games will be compatible for this phone. it's like java support but this time plus flash support! themes, icons, user interface, etc with flash animation will also look outstanding, like we see on ads here on gsmarena. here's the link
nokia 6233 is also pictured in there so we better watch out for this one too.. cuz i think by d looks of it screen would probably have 320 x 240 pixels. i hope it has 3mpx camera.. of course it will have series 40 3rd edition too! other features, still unknown..
