Why Nokia is launching these new phones so long before their availability ? They still have to lauch at least 10 phones before this one : N91, N90, N70, 1600, 1100, 5140i, 8800,6021, 6030,6001,...It just makes people waiting and not buying.

I think they decided to make these phones with OS 40 because everyone want small phones, which they obviously cannot do with their serie 60 plateform. Too bad.

Dude the Nokia-N series is going to be top range when it's introduced. 6280 is nowhere near the N's except perhaps the camera.

XYZ,what makes you think these are flagship models? these are just how all mid and high end range phones are going to be now, there will b a symbian slider soon anyway.
MRBR19HTSIDE, series 40 actually does support thems just look at 6230i and the new series 40 3rd edition was ment to be series 50 but nokia jus kept the name its complitly different (in a good way) it will still be like series 40 and easy to use but much more features and really really better looking try looking at the screen shots on nokis website

I would personaly take the N70 phone or any N-Series phone, rather than this one (or any of the others introduced with this one)! I'm very disappointed to see no Symbian on this phone! That's why it lacks flexability!

Nokia has done a very wrong turn by introducing Series 40 Third Edition on the 66270 and the 6280.
Both are supposed to be business phones so they should have the flexibility of the Symbian OS wich is known to support many other Third-party applications
Even if they wanted to bring their Series 40 back, they should introduce it on lower-end phones, but not their flagship mobile.

Is the N-series better or these slide phones? I'm still thinking whether to go for N70 or this phone.

thank nokia for their 2nd slider phone and also improved technology.. i will defintely get this!! i have a Samsung D500 right now, but nothing will satisfy me more than a nokia slider, 1st of all the 7650 never worked in the U.S. because it was only dual band.. finally a tri-band nokia slider with a 2mp camera, xpanable memory, mp3 player and many more.. thanks to nokia!!

y do u need poly ringtones when u can use mp3 as ringtones. and y do u guys wan symbian os, beside the downloading of software part, symbian os sucks. reaction time slow and it hangs. as for the memory, 'jo' is right, 1gd miniSD cards are much cheaper den the sony memory sticks and so much smaller also. And many are right with the slide design, Nokia started it 1st, people that don't know all these, stop crapping ur nonsense here. get ur facts right before u even lay ur opinions!

Nokia was the first one to make a "slid in" design, so actually they don't copy samsung.
But i think that they don't deliver att features in one pack...
