Also just FYI battery life doesnt mean jack because it is you who decides how long it will last. How long do you charge it, how often etc etc. it is best to charge the phone every night and turn off the phone at least once every week.
This phone is absolute garbage. I had 3 in 2 weeks and even my customers have had to come back to have them replaced or sent away for software upgrades. Believe it or not but there are 4 different typres of software that has been tested on this handset and still Nokia cant get it right. My partner has also had to update his software a number of times, as well as replacing the lcd because its a flimsy piece of crap. Let alone the people who went to slide it open and the top slide came off all together when they opened the phone for the first time (by the way your warranty wont cover that). Even the dummy handsets in my store keep breaking. Really guys dont bother your wasting your time, the features are becoming outdated now anyway, go for one of the N series if you really want a worthwhile Nokia, otherwise try a SonyEricsson or Samsung.
if u want to have a camera in front same way at the back , use samsung d820 , it rotates, and also if u want the nokia, N93 or 6680 dual cam
the 2nd camera in front is only for video call, and it is also depends on ur network..
I have been using this phone for more than 3 months now and I'm glad I didn't encounter any problems faced by other users. Honestly I must admit this is a stylish and nice phone to use, especially its wide screen and bright display. However I'm a bit disappointed with the sound volume because even though u put the highest volume, it's still not loud enough especially when you put an mp3 song as a ringing tone. Overall, I think this phone is great despite some flaws.
i have tried both 6270 and 6280, although i had alot of problems with 6270 but both of them are great, in addition 6280 hase these advantagee : 1- battery life is more than 6270 (depens to ur work from 1 to 3 days) 2/pictures quality is a little beter than 6270 3/the 4 keys on the slider are better and easier to work with
also i have never had any problem with my 6270
I got this phone in july andI have nothing bad to say about this lil' machine. Apparently the battery problen has been solved because I find there is nothing to complain about. The phone reacts fast to every command and works error free. I gladly recommend this to everyone.
I have had this fone for about 7mnths now en must cey that the reason y it 'sitches on en off'is for battery saving and the battery has never died on me as well bcs it lasts up to 2days!I bot myself a huger memory saver card en listen to music ol the tym as i work in a major telecomunications customer care in SA en i listen to music for up to 9hrs en still thinx its worth my package(also tuk it out on contract-don buy phones anymore;i jus upgrade).Give the phone a break pple-its ok.
the internal memory is listed as 6mb yet when i go to the phone memory it shows there is 620kb free and only 190kb used. That does not even add up to 1mb so where exactly has the memory vanished to?
I can see there are mixed opinions about this phone but i have to say i think it is pretty crap, the battery dies one minute its full then its empty so its very unreliable i'm just glad i bought this phone under a contract and didn't pay the usual 200 pound for it.
I've found this phone to be pretty good. There's a few things that can be annoying, like no rewind and fastforward in video or audio player. As for people complaining about battery life, i have a bluetooth headset hooked up to it for 10-12 hours a day and for the first day after charging, it doesn't show any sign of loosing battery, by the end of the second day it's starting to go down, at which point i usually charge it, I've never had it run out of battery. I did buy it on the day it was released, and have had a software problem with the phonebook not saving numbers properly, it doesn't show it in the phonebook at all, but if i dial the number it shows who it is.... All i've got to do is go to the nokia care centre and they said they can fix it in about an hour, but i haven't had a chance to do that within buisness hours. My girlfriend also bought this car a few weeks later, and she hasn't had any of these problems and her battery goes about 5 days before showing signs of going down at all.
Stay clear of the Nokia 6280. That's the crappiest phone ever. Rather buy the SE W810.
I got my 6280 in May (against advice of my friends that it was crap) and have had nothing but problems with it since. These include the battery life lasting a day if that, screen black outs, turning off automatically and the charger being faulty. I took it back to the phone shop that i got it from and apparently it is well known that there is a software problem with this model of phone, however it appears that that isnt preventing them from being sold still.
I would strongly advise you to stay clear of the 6280, Nokias arent what they used to be!!!
When i convert a video into 3gp or mp4 the audio plays really low when i set it for video ring tone. anyone know how to improve this? (great feature though - i love it - J.T video every time my phone rings!!)
I want to use the e-mail function on my phone for my yahoo.com address. Can I use the IMAP4 settings to do this? Can anyone help me please???
I've had this phone for 8 weeks now, of which it has been in service for 5. The service takes too long time, but except for that the phone is great! The design is good, the keys are good and the screen is beautiful. The features are OK, I love the activ estandby mode and have, in fact, quite using my palm Pilot altogetehr now. The battery lasts a day, but then it needs recharging, but that's not really a problem.
I sent mine to service because I had problems with video calls and mobile TV. After service, where they updated the software, the phone becaue so much better. Buy the phone and ask to have the software updated immediately, even before using it. Then it's a great phone!
