This is a neat phone,better if the firmware was upgraded b4 it was sold,if your phone blacks out all the time,get the firmware upgrade,problem is U have 2 get Nokia 2 do that & they are slow & unhelpful

this phone sounds impressive but looks rather plasticy..and i no its made partly out of plastic for those people who will slag off this comment, is it different in real life? xxxx

i think its a good piece of kit, but it won't rem my t9 inputs! really fustrating, is there a firmware update???

I have owned a NOKIA 6280 before, but had to take it back in exchange for a NOKIA 6131. The 6280 would just black out, it did this three times, and the third time it took 3 days without switching on again. Could this NOKIA be better? And what are your plans about the NOKIA Dups supplied in Africa? How can i know a genuine Nokia?? Thanx

I live in the Central Valley in California, and im not sure if they have 3g service yet. They have a phone at cingular that is 3g but its an lg.

LISTEN UP EVERYONE!!!!
We have just received the new rebate forms and the 6282 is no longer listed. This mobile even though cingular wireless did not carry it it was been in the last 2 revised rebate forms...well the new rebate forms start tomorrow and this phone is now missing... i seroiusly dought that they aren't giving a rebate for it i just think that we aren't going to carry it because of the 1900mhz only that nokia couldn't get around for some reason... we are adding the samsung zx20 (3g) rumors to be the first VIDEO CALLING..., samsung d807 slide up style (NOT 3G) but the LG CU500 IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is LG answer to the RAZR! is razr thin but packs 3G and 1.3 MP cam and a bunch more stuff! AGAIN THESE PHONE WILL NOT BE RELEAZED IN YOUR AREA UNTIL UMTS IS FULLY OPERATIONAL...which right now it looks like is going to be for fall!!!!... more to come

The specification in GSMArena says it's for American market only (GSM 850},but I've seen an English site saying it is available as GSM 900,too.Any idea about this conflict?
