The 6288 is the one better to buy. The differences are exposed bellow, in some of the messages.

i just bought my 6288 a week ago. the phone is great. mine is colored black which gives the phone a classy look.it comes with a 512mb card and softwares to enjoy the phone more on my pc. the phone is almost the same with 6280. the difference is that 6288 comes with a 512mb mini sd card and a radio option while 6280 only has a 64mb mini sd card.

Listening to the Radio, the battery lasts one day and a half. Regarding the mp3, maybe somebody else knows. I didn't try it till the end.

how much battery power does listening to MP3s through a stereo bluetooth headset drain?

The sound is fine. But the speaker system is not a stereo one, like in the case of N73, for example.
The FM radio is OK but it misses the RDS and the EQ (which is applicable to the Media Player).

I am considering getting nokia 6288 but y is there so much criticisms abt it? Many different opinions makes me confused. But frankly speaking, if u haf no need for those many functions such as tt symbian or smtg, there seems to be no reason to be so critical abt wad its lacking. Just because other expensive phones have them? hmmm... Anyway, price depends on how many functions are there. The more the functions the more expensive it is. Dun compare wif the latest phones from SE or others. dun any1 realize quite a the price difference between them? ya...
