did anybody who upgraded the firmware get an improvment in the camera (i mean still pictures here as the video it takes is really great), and can the media player menu be changed so that one can make folders for media (songs for example) and be able to go forward or backward in the media file (as n case with my old 6630)?

i have this phone..so here it goes a little review..
the pros:
-exelent stereo speakers!!
-exelent screen
-good mp3 player, altough the phones provided are of average quality..
-operative system works fine (fast indeed, compared with others symbian versions)
-the battery life
the cons
-the camera is a big let down, only in good sunlight conditions you can take nice photos..
everithyng else is quite plain, in line with other similar nokia models..
i'll post some more if i remenber;)

hi guys i need your help in:
i was thinking to buy 6233 which have got stereo speaker but after i saw this phone on gsmarena m getting confused as i love to have a music phone with stereo speaker and stereo headset with good bass quality which makes me feel a best music phone and i saw all the features which i want to have in a phone like OPERATING SOFTWARE(OS) and all other but i want to know about whether this phone is available in India or not if it is then wat is the price of this phone???
So, is it good to buy or 6233 is better then this please tell me guys...

So in Euro's its about 259 Euro

In a week I'm gonna buy this phone, i hope I'll be happy...As far as I seen, it has everything you want...Just the price is big, in Romania is almost 300 euro...but i hope it worth.

If it had a 5 mpx camera ,this phone would kill all sony-ericsson ;) at music is way better then any walkman series, display like the 6131 very big,and bright love it :X:X. nokia is no.1.

Hello evrbdy,I have this phone about 1 month and I haven't found any cardinal problem, yet.I paid 260 EUR for it. The battery life's good.By normal using 4 days. The display is great, clear and the colours are very faithful.Phone is very fast and flexible.The keyboard is comfortable...big keys,short keystroke and practical keys' allocation. The videos(320x240!!!) and images from the main 2Mpx camera have very good quality.Independent 2,5" jack for the earphones is very useful.The phone menu is very lucid and logic.
My opinion: In this price class the NOKIA 6290 has no opponent.

the 3 keys at the front could be used for the music player, or to reject calls (the right key, press once for silence, then again for reject). they hav other functions too, when u press and hold them down.
