autoP, 18 Jul 2008thx for the answer BUT wich one should i go for, wich one do u succest?? i'm still wondering a... moreHonestly I don't know what to say.
First of all, my 6300 battery life is excellent. I went as far as to make minimal calls and it lasted for 6 days more than once. During those 6 days I received a call everyday and usually more than one call per day. I also sent a few text messages too throughout the 6 days. So don't believe what you hear. Only go for the European 6300...preferably Hungary, Finland or Germany. Those are the best!
Let me give you a few guidelines which can assist you in deciding which phone to go for:
If you don't ever want to miss a phone call in a noisy environment then I guess the 6500 classic is the way to go.
If you want the best screen to ever grace the earth then the 6300 is the way to go.
If you rather high quality stainless steel over anodized aluminum then the 6300 is the way to go.
However, I must tell you, even though the 6300's weight is 91 grams, and it may sound very light on paper, in reality it doesn't feel like 91 grams...it's feels heavier due to the metal all around it.
On the other hand the 6500 classic weighs 94 grams and it's not raw metal like the 6300 so it may tend to feel a bit lighter...especially seeing that it's slimmer than the 6300 as well.
What you need to do is go to the store and test both of them. See how they feel in your hand...even though I must tell you that the 6300 feel in the hand is one of the most comfortable feeling you will ever experience in your hand. Somebody went as far as to say whenever they get lonely they hold it for comfort (smile).
All in all, I have NEVER used a 6500 classic so I can't tell you how that feels in the hand but I suspect it's very comfortable too...which is the case with Nokia's latest models since the release of 6300.
I have given my input but try to get your hands on both of them and give them both a test drive and decide. Hope my information helps in you making your final decision.

I am yet to sample the 6500 classic so I can't verify this claim.

This is truly a great phone, with great features and music. The only problem that I had was battery life... but it charged so fast that I forgot all about it. The design is a good one and the Phone is durable. thank you.
P.S. I only got this phone so I might be wrong *_*

I have the same problem you are having. My headset worked for about 2 weeks on a... moreFor those complaining about the headset issue, if you're using a bluetooth headset or the stereo bluetooth headsets, keep in mind that phones come equipped with certain bluetooth profiles.
the bluetooth version is v2.0, and i see that it doesn't necessarily state that it is stereo bluetooth capable either. If you are using a bluetooth headset that is v1.2, those are not compatabile with this phone and creates the issue of disconnecting from your headset. so you may need to buy a new headset.
seyilal, 13 Jul 2008pls i need help everytime i download a game it shows me application error when i click details... moreseyilal have you tried puttin a micro sd card i your phone to add more memory?
This well designed phone with a superb build and display is ideal for anyone who simply wants a device to make calls and text and listen to music or take the ocassional photo. And this device does this very well. That is how it was designed. For me, well, I want to more with my mobiles devices but for friend of mine it is ideal for his needs. Just a word of caution for UK's O2 pay and go users wishing to use the pre-installed Opera Mini browser or download the superb Opera Mini Version 4.1 on this handset. There appears to be issues relating to the configuration settings preventing Opera from loading.
Finally I repeat this is a great device for those wanting a straightforward quality option. Those wanting more should consider the outstanding Nokia 6120 Classic, an excellent Symbian S60 smartphone.
