I want to advise you never to buy Nokia 6300 buy any phone but don't buy this one. This is a junk.I spent 200 dollars which I earned them by doing hardwork.I am a poor man.No.1 Problem in this phone is there is a single speaker only & sound is too low.I missed maybe 100 phonecalls because At home anyone cannot hear its sound when someone is calling.No.2 The back side get scratched in days.No.3 If you are writing in capital it automatically gets small fonts after one sentence.No.4 Its screen is of glass so you have to protect it.No.5 Its camera is not too good & the video is very bad I rate it zero 0 & it is in such a small screen.I hate it & advise you never to buy it.I lost my 200 $.I will never buy Nokia Phone again. There is a phone Nokia N95 only thats better. My 200 Dollars Went on this bastard 6300
TERRY, I have said over and over again, my 6300 is perfect...just like yours (smile).
I have no complaint whatsoever about my phone, not even battery. Battery life is very good in mine.
Mine was made in Hungary running 5.50.
Guday everyone.i dnt know why my phone does nt support downloaded files.nigeria
After all that i have read here today i recon some of us have really good 6300's and others must have inferior versions.
Mine is made in China and i do not have any issues with heating up, or freezing, or restarting, the speakerphone is as clear as maidens water and when i am calling someone at least 2000 miles away i do not ever have any problems with my calls, and my battery lasts easily a week with normal calls and txt.
My cam is excellent for a 2 mp and all features on this set are excellent,
Iam using 2 GB SD, And the software is 6.01.
I am sad to see so many unusual bad reports surfacing at this time concerning this Magic lil handset the 6300.
Just dont forget that this is not an expensive set, and the sales figures speak for themselves, the figures dont lie.
The 6300 is an excellent reliable mobile well mine is and all of my family and friends who are using this set are not having any issues here in Australia.
So if ya buy one from a reputable store and if ya were to find a fault as you certainly do with every make of mobile ever produced then it is simple to return it to the store.
So much easier than winging like a spoilt little boy who has wet his pants lol.
6300 does not have bad battery it has a very bad battery , i have one to testify
but is a looker tho
take 6233 if you dnt want those looks , its definitely better in every other aspect ( leaving the screen )

This phone is all style & no substance. When using the phone, the sound is fuzzy & unclear. The speaker has blown on my phone after just three months which means it no longer rings. The camera is very poor quality unless you are outside in bright daylight. All of my previous Nokia phones have lasted me at least 4 years, this one has lasted 3 months. Don't bother.
Review of Nokia 6300 by Malhotras 2008:
Not good for long conversation as heats up quickly. Designed in such a way that hearing is not always good especially when it heats up. Although personally I m fan of NOKIA I do not like any other mobile phones 6300 is provided by my office but I prefer my personal 6280
Review of Nokia 6300 by leedm:
From my experience this phone is very usefull and simple.I have not had any problems with this phone except from the phone scatches on the back cover very easily and doesnt look very nice. and the front of the phone becomes very heated when talking on th phone for more than 15 minutes which is quite worrying.Other than that the phone is quite perfect!

everybody is not that lucky. my experience is very very bad. Apart from the defective product the after sales service is probably the worst, My set has stopped working despite my proper handling and the company is not bothered about the plight of its customers. This is not acceptable in any other country than ours.the indifference and arrogance of both company is criminal and they will have to pay for that in the court of law.. I have enquired from others who are using Nokia-6300 and nobody is satisfied with the functioning of this model.
The product is bad and after sales service is deplorable. Battery standby time is less than 30 minutes and the inbuilt battery charging jack socket comes out of the cell phone. it starts giving trouble after 2 weeks of use and later the set become dead.
My Nokia 6300 mobile set, which I purchased in August,2007 started giving trouble from very begining and later on became a dead set. Nokia Care Centre did not carry out repair even after keeping the set for 2 days and further damaged the set besides breaking the memory card. Numerous e-mails sent and phone calls made to the Nokia Care and its central offices for replaceement. No concrete reply nor any action. Apathetic and irresponsible attitude of the company forces you to feel cheated and harassed. The set is really bad and so is the company. It is selling substandard and defective sets in India and cheating people. Never touch a Nokia Mobile set. It is a buy and cry set.
Maybe 6300s better version of Symbian platform could've improved the device's functionality, but that depends on everyone’s taste. The battery cannot "sustain" the big bright display, thus you'll register fast depletion of energy.
I still own the 6300, besides the 1.5 days battery life.
i dont mind it, i still Love the 6300
and will always do
ignore my Last comment, and you should see the SE Forums there full of Nokia fans doing the same thing there!!!!!!
so dont take those bad comments to heart.

This fone is rubbish, Like Bradley said the battery life stinks and texting is a nightmare unless you have tiny fingers and now the vibrate has stopped working and I didn't even drop it. Don't buy this fone waste of money, Nokia just don't make them like they used to.

I am desperate to get rid of my 6300 already and go back to the more functional sony Ericsson's. The battery life is terrible, there is not enough memory capacity for video, picture and it even doesn't save new words when using predictive text which drives me crazy. It also feels too slender and effeminate. A complete waste of an upgrade so i am buying either the sony W810i or the new k850i.
Battery life, poor speaker
This is my 5th handset from orange and still i am having the same problem with the speaker, when i make a call or receive a call people are always complaining that they can not hear me clearly, even when i have my bluetooth on in my car all i get is background noise and its so frustrating.
I have always had a Nokia phone and this 6300 is one of the worst phone that nokia has ever made, I have also made a compliant to Nokia about this and they still have not come back to me. This is the worst Nokia phone that Nokia has ever made and i strongly recommend to all those of you who are wishing to purchase a 6300 i recommend that you keep away from this phone.

I've had the Nokia 6300 phone for 2 months and am now having to charge the battery every other day. I'm only talking for a maximum of 20 minutes a day and sending a few text messages. Am considering selling it on ebay and buying a Sony Ericsson.

The Nokia 6300 is a nice tactile phone with great features but completely let down by diabolically poor battery life.

Good Points: Good design, fast wap, great camera
Bad Points: Battery life, hands free voice dialling. No data cable with phone
General comments: I've been given the Nokia 6300 as an upgrade from the Nokia 6320i and I'm really disappointed. Funnily enough I actually use this as a phone for business, a point that has been overlooked by Nokia in their attempt to make it appeal to texters and those that take meaningless pictures all the time. The most annoying thing about the 6300 is the voice dialling which worked perfectly well on my original Nokia using my own voice to confirm the name. On the 6300 every contact is automatically given electronically generated voice dialling which sounds like Stephen Hawking. This either doesn't recognise the name or dials the wrong number which makes it useless for in the car. Other people in our office had Ericson phones which came with data cable unlike the 6300 which uses a different cable to my previous 6320i meaning more expense. The Bluetooth works well but drains the battery even faster which means that I cannot use the phone for a full working day without charging it up. The result of all this is I've put the 6300 back in its box and I 'm using my old 6320i Come on Nokia get a grip!!!
My...my...my...6300 is exposed badly with all those comments from different sites. No further comment from my side.
