@ Ange uk,
i was very specific from whom i was asking the question. Read carefully. This forum started to get spoiled from the day, ignorant people started to compare the 6300 with the 6233.
I have 6300 an 5310 i think 5310s better battery lasts ages its slimmer and it has 5th edition software so it tells you whos rung or text on the screen nice phone the 5310 cameras good to even though its a music phone
i currently have a 6300 and planning to sell it and get a 5310 as i am really impressed by the design of the 5310 do u ppl think i shud sell it for a 5310?? plz reply
Mjk your so right about this board why cant we concentrate on the 6300 and stop the nonsense and silly questions like "what if i buy it and its usless" just one 2 mention.use common sense man!.i have the 6300 an in my own opinion the 6300 is good handset just battery that lets it down! In my humble opinion
Good day to all,
I would just like to inquire, does anyone know how to do a hard reset for this model (6300) and not just the restore factory settings?
so far not a bad phone, but i have to say i don't like the way there is no time-stamp on incoming text msgs. one has to actually go into message details to find out, which is a hassle in my opinion. anyone know how to add the date/time to msgs? thanks.
Gud phone and Nokia again wins the confidence of consumer!!! I would recommend the user to try out this piece.
You can always take it back or exchange it if you dont take risk you wont know
i agree with you. But what if someone buy one of these and turns out to be useless or something like that?
To all contemplating buyers:
Go ahead and get this phone. It's always best to check things out for yourself instead of listening to others. There's NO EXPERIENCE like your very own.
If my phone was a prototype model it would have had it on the label just like every other prototype phone.
My phone is an official release. European made. Furthermore, if it was a prototype, it wouldn't have come with firmware revision 5.0.
If you read the camera review of the K550 you would have seen where the Editorial Reviewer said that the K550 doesn't deserve the Cybershot branding as it doesn't take high quality photos as the K750/W800...and these models weren't branded as Cybershot models...so in my opinion the K550 phone doesn't deserve much praising.
The only reason why it got the 'A Cyber-shot on a budget' title is because the phone is branded as a Cybershot, whether it lives up to the expectations or not.
The internet/gprs connection is fine. The only difference is that you can't enter it manually unlike earlier s40v2 phones. You have to get the settings sent from your operator.
I like the way you responded in a civilised manner.
Regardless, you either didn't read all my posts or you don't comprehend very well.
Once I made a straight call and it lasted for 3:39 mins.
Another time I made a call and stayed on it for 2 hours exactly and then shortly after I received a call and stayed on it for another exact 2 hours...that's 4 hours on a single charge!!!!!!
Telephony is the most important thing for me because first and foremost it's a phone. All the bells and whistles are secondary. The phone lives up to the primary expectations just like any other Nokia. It has always been said that Nokia batteries last long and this phone is no exceptation.
Regardless of others saying that their battery doesn't last long, well that is their experience, I have NO reason to complain as my battery lasts long.
I have been following every posts since page 1 and I have seen many people praise the battery as long lasting.
My experience with the battery is a good one and I state it as is.
just bought as lost phone quite annoyed bought in rush, battery life is low, volume low, headphones rubbish and just discoved memory is low too! oh well it looks good and does the basic textin n calling!
