Hi again, can anyone please give me some insight on which model should i buy, N70 or Nokia 6300? Which better camera quality if ever I want to develop the pics I have taken using cellphone instead of digicam? Hope you can respond to my query soon. Thank you a lot guys.
Hi all, i just want to know what is much better cellphone, the Nokia N70 or this Nokia 6300, I am planning to buy soon and can't made up my mind which is better. I had read some feedbacks about the N70 and it's not quite good eventhough the difference is the other is 3G & the other one is not. But most have the same features. Hope you might help me on this. Thanks a lot.
To PREM:
Personally, I have not used the 6555 but the first time I saw it I instantly admired it's beauty. It's as good looking as any other flips other there.
Since you aren't concerned about camera quality or music then go for it. The good thing is that it falls in the 6xxx series so it's a business class phone. Business class phones gives you bonus features like Notes, To Do Lists, a flexible calendar good phonebook capacity etc.
Last but not least it's a Nokia. Proven reliability and durability. I say go for it.
To MOBZZY:
Thank you. It's good to feel appreciated. It's a pity that some don't share the same views as you. I will try my best to continue helping out others.
why the hell people are trying to copy original_jamacian. he is doing good job by given sincere advise on mobiles as he is having adequate knowledge on computer and telecommunication technology. he deserves appreciation for his voluntry work. please guys dont try to copy him if you have half knowledge. you all will end up confusing and misguiding the people who are depending on this forum to get the right information that they need badly.
OJ please keep up your good work. we love you.
hi original_jamaican
what's you opinion on nokia 6555. appreciate your comment.
i am aint a music freak or too bothered about camera quality. most important for me is call quality and signal strength.
I've been thinking of buying a new phone and this is what I'm considering. Is it a good buy? Does it have a USB port for data transfer to PCs? is the camera resolution good? pls need ur guys opinions.
FIRMWARE UPDATE on Vodafone branded 6300,Purchased new in Australia March/08. Yes mine came with the 4.71 Firmware and there was no upgrade available for it until today 10th/April/08 so i did upgrade it to the 6.01 that was available.
This upgrade seems good so far as all features are working as before, I have noticed that the voice recorder playback certainly has heaps more volume than previously.
As yet i am not aware of any other improvements yet.
Can anyone comment on any advantages that i may notice thanks....
I have a 6234, which is older than the 6300, but beats this phone in video record/playback cause mine records at 240*320 and 480*640 resolution and it has 3G as well. It's got nice looks so it fits for ladies. I just want to know from all Nokia people where can I download nice free themes for all the Nokias with 240*320 screen(S40v3) especially the iPhone, Windows and Linux themes. I got my old ones from twilightwap.com and some games & applications from GetJar.com. I can't sign up to the Nokia website and forum, I would be happy if anyone can respond to this. Hey guys i'm from Queensland in Australia.
I just bought a Matte Black Nokia 6300 and i'll let you guys know yes it does have streaming bluetooth audio. It connects to my JVC KD-BT1 car cd-tuner and plays songs through my head deck but you have to control the music via the mobile. Before buying this phone from k-mart i contacted nokia and asked if this phone has A2DP and this was their reply:
In response to your email, below is the list of phone models that are compatible to Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) Bluetooth profile:
3109 Classic
3110 Classic
3500 Classic
5200
5300 Xpress Music
5310 Xpress Music
5610 Xpress Music
5700
6085
6110 Navigator
6120 Classic
6121 Classic
6280
6282
6288
6300
6500 Classic
7390
7500
8600 Luna
8800
8800 Sirocco
N76
N81
N82
N77
N95
E51
Hence, the Nokia 6300 is compatible with the A2DP Bluetooth profile. The Nokia 6233 on the other hand, is not compatible with this Bluetooth profile.
Hope this helps you guys with your purchase!!
oh and p.s the matte black looks heaps better then the silver-black version and also this is a really good phone and comes with opera-mini and a bluetooth presentation tool and all the stuff you'd need to get you going and its well priced at AUS $199 but its locked to the vodafone network. Email me if you have any other queries with gsmarena in the subject title.
cheers.

To ROBVER:
Glad to hear that everything worked out for you.
To 6300 USER:
It's said that firmware v5.00 will increase battery performance.
I never had any battery problems with my phone from day one. I don't need to charge my phone on a daily basis.
On Sunday I charged my phone, made a few short calls and it didn't show a reduction in battery life until late yesterday (Monday) evening and that was because I was playing a lot of music.
Once I made a 2 hour call, hung up and received another call shortly after, which I spent another 2 hours on. As you can see, I have no battery issues.
More than likely you will get firmware 5.50 when you check for updates but that should do the job just the same.
Can you please tell me how to save battery charges ??
Its not keep 4 hours back up .. iam very sad
