this was a phone for business during those days. It was a serious pnone.
My rating for this phone (1 - 10) = 8.5
Problem with this phone is its on / off switch. It easily gets destroyed
But overall, the phone was excellent

Sceen Resolution: 5/6 lines of monocrhome text
Flash content for websites: No
POP3 Client/Google/MSN Sync: No
Speakerphone: No (how pathetic)
Colour Screen: Obsolete Dim Monocrhome Screen which NO ONE uses anymore.
Intituitive User Interface: Maybe, in 2001/2. Certainly not now.
Push Email Notification/Multitasking: No
FM/RDS Radio: No
Stock Application/IM Client: No
OS/Third Party app Intergration: Practically closed source and out of date OS, No!
Utter piece of c@£p: Yes
This can go on forever to highlight just how out of tune this is today. This does not meet the needs of the audience it was targeted for anymore, times change and clients demand more features that are up to date to adapt to thier lifestyle and the rapid change of technology. You, are seriously out of touch AND date much like this handset is.

I'm no fan of the Iphone but comparing this to it or the N900/HD2 is practically comparing an old rustbucket 1.1 Ford Fiesta to a Lamborghini Reventon/BMW M5 or an Audi R8 V10 and saying it's faster

I agree. I had a phone like this one and I could say it's probably one of the best Nokia phone ever made.

I still have my original 6310i from 2002 ... it still works well and has outlasted three other phones. Now on my second battery.

A friend bought it 10 days ago. Today is the 5th of September 2009. He payed 480 EUR for it. Nokia made it for him from spare parts. The battery lasts 8 days.
He says it's the best phone he's ever had. He only needs it for calls and sms. He used to have symbian phones, an iphone, etc...

i have changed my SE k810i whit this beautiful Nokia 6310 Phone today at the local service shop,this phone is great and yes todays hi-tech phones are crap and last no more than 1-2 years

This phone is great!!
The first year I had to go at Nokia Center to upgrade 3 times.
But after that the phone works perfect!
I am using this phone for 7 years now and I had no problems.
I use the original Ultra slim, Li-Po (BPS-2) that came with the phone 7 years ago but I still charge every five – six days! (3-4 days with Bluetooth actived)
Great old Nokia Quality
Easy to use
Very fast contacts search
Excellent voice quality
Nice old & secure Bluetooth
Reliable
Today’s mobile phones are crap, low quality and last only for 1 or 2 years max.
