An IrDA port which sucks! - Can't transfer images, Java apps, but just calendar notes and remainder's!

also you can connect internet over GPRS using the irda port. so please don't blame any techie gadget because of your lack of knowledge.

the phone *CAN* download ringtones using IR connection. i am creating my ringtones from old amiga music, even from c64 (i have yie-ar kung-fu theme right now). it does not rule, but it does not suck either. paid just 30 euros, thanks to SFR, so for me it is a great bang for the buck. i agree that poliphony is not that good, NECs rule in that area IMO. I really miss the Shakuhachi in my lost-bitterly NEC 341i

I really like it, itīs a verry good and simple phone. The infrared is not working, I dont know why, maybe Nokia made it by wish that people to complain for the phone I asked many people they said that there is no any infrared on it. But anyhow you can use the phone for some thing else. But every thing on this phone is good. This is a phone with every thing. Itīs a very good quality. Itīs with a nice design. A verry good display.

it's s***, because the connection is rubbish, the headfonezas r easily broke, its camerqa is rubbish, ir is rubbish, internet not cheap, little screen, rubbish poliphonic sound, cant download songs, cant send or receive picturezs or sounds, lacks middle button, radio stupid (cant use it widout da headfones), rbbish built in games, how do u send emails?, no bluetooth, no sync, no usb in da box, were can i buy 1!, its s***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The IR is only for transfering "contacts", cannot use to transfer Picture or Ringtones

Please someone tell me that if i install ringtones to Nokia 6610i through Infrared. I have infrared in my computer. If yes please tell me the method. and can i install pictuers form Mokia 6610i to PC. If yes tell me the method. Thanks.

Nice Design,Smart look,Better FM Reception,Quality Loud Speaker,Sufficent Memory...n becomes more better if Nokia guys put BT and strong IR.
the only most irritating is the message " ! IR Connection Failure"

I've been using this 6610i since 2004, for those who need small, simple, just sms or mms and, just in case need a camera, it might be the right choice. If you need hi-end camera, etc, this is not the one. I have SE s700i and K750, they are better but hugh, heavy, bulky...

this phone is absoulutly apualing and i am ashamed i eva brought it. the camra is not worth having at a measly 0.1mp the coulor on the screen also lets it down
the casses are not good ither both my mums and mine habve craked
for me a real let down for nokia.... i always brought nokias but now ive gone onto samsung z500 which i beleve are the next big thing in the phone market
one last thing DONT BUY THING PHONE
