I have a 6650 - It's true. The phone is not yet commercially available in Europe, but a very small number of handsets have been supplied to the various service providers for testing. In turn, the provider has farmed out some handsets to Corporate Customers(me!) for testing their UTMS Network.
To be honest, as it's a dual GSM/UTMS phone, my own GSM sim spends more time in it as the 3G Network is pretty much unuseable right now.
The phone itself it chunky, robust & well, quite ugly! I've been told by my provider that this handset will never be released commercially over here(Aparently they've had 4 recalls in Japan already). However, it's function is to get a product tested on the various networks over here, that works. There are some sleeker, 'full function' 3G phones on the horizon from Nokia, and by all accounts will be more 'stylish'
Anyhow, I quite like the 6650 - it has some good features and if it is ever launched, it will most likely be a 'business' phone.

The reason it has an external aerial is not because Nokia are trying to go retro, rather that being a 3G (wCDMA/UMTS) phone it needs to have a better signal in order to take advantage of the high(er) bandwidth available.

We've just got the prototype phones here at Nokia UK, they're well smart, the lense on the back for taking pictures has a cool sliding lense cover to keep it protected.
They do seem a bit bulky though.
by saying the phone is tri band, it does not mean it works in America.
band 1 = 900
band 2 = 1800
band 3 = WDCMA
