This is a nice phone. Interesting by all means from any phone in recent history by Nokia. However, there is no IRDA and a memory card on the outside would have been nice. Infact all the newer models must come out with this feature. Talk time is great, Atleast the talk time is going up from the normal 3 hours. FM player would have been nice 2. Hope the future phones come up with all of this one.. Atleast One model with all of it one.

I'm happy that there are no radio in this one! Because it would only add to its weight!
Furthermore I don't use the radio, as I listen to MP3's instead..
If the radio is that important, you can buy a headset with built-in radio!

6681 specs say:
"MMC/SD card slot"
does this mean it has both MMC (multimedia card) and SD (secure digital)?
cards are different sizes i think.

the new nokia is a bit more wide than it should be. but this may be compensatd by the specifications it provieds.the functions keys and soft keys are in odd position like that of the Seimens SX1.The design and specifications are likeable but it misses a great advantage:the FM radio which has become alomst an integral feature in Nokia.

Hey finally Nokia has woken up from its hibernation.Finally after ages,a phone with a 262k screen!Good one Nokia,although u r a bit late on that.Phones with 262k screen hve been in the market 4 more than a year.But anyway u r symbian phones hve the best value for money.The only thing that cud do an improvement is the 1.3MP camera on this gadget cud easily hve been a 2MP+ one.Coz when u introduce a new phone,the features shudnt be an year old.But then again its no sense putting all the best features in one phone and selling it for a fortune coz no one will buy it.So to all the ppl who say that this phone shud ve had more than it has,they can go and f**k themselves.Nokia have done their homework and i respect that!WAY TO GO NOKIA!

To answer a question asked...of couse it will have zoom and it should play mp3 as ringtones...Nokia has really gotta catch up...2 megapixel camera's are out now in the western world. And also 16mill screen's..Cumon nokia catch up

This camera could easily be far better than the ones with fx. 3mp!!
The main thing, that makes good pictures, is the sensor. If it is a lousy sensor, then the picture will be worse the higher the number of pixels there are!
I'm just hoping, that Nokia puts all their energy in making excellent sensors, which means a lot more than mp's..
Oh well.. Panasonic may produce better screens, but the rest is crap! Nokia is far better in the overall picture.
But I agree! They usually are a notch behind the others.. Even though it might not be a bad thing! It is better to receive a phone that is with good technology that works, instead of a phone with dazzling technology, where the most of the things only works partially.
This phone has become my dream phone! And I will without doubt purchase it, once it's released in Denmark :D

why are nokia so far behind everyone else?
I'm a die hard nokia fan and was over the moon to own one of the first megapixel camera phones - the 7610 but it's taking them a long time to improve on that.
They've only just released a phone with a 1.3mp camera - the 6630, when phones with this resolution have been on the market for months. Likewise with their displays - they've only just announced 262k while panasonic have announced 16m. And flash!!!That’s not a flash it’s more like an LED light which have been on phones for the past 6 months…or more!
I’m hoping (and waiting) for a Nokia phone with 2/3MP and a proper flash compartment but at this rate I won’t be seeing one this time next year let alone in august when I upgrade.

very nice looking phone! the only nokia i have ever considered buying. there is also a silver version on the website.
specs say full-screen video..
anyone know how good the quality is? frames per second, etc. and how long can you watch video (and play games) on one charge?
