I also have a problem with the zoom, it also goes in and out all the time! How can I disable it or something??

i have had the phone for 7 months and it went ones to rapairs for the zooming problem. and it came back fixed had no problems afterwords i have to say its the best phone i have ever seen it wifi is exillent and 3g are great gps works 100% everything about this phone is great!!!! very load speaker and can download many apps to mod the phone it has a exilent camera 2 and there is much more if you have a zooming problem it would make your keypad not respond but as soon as you send it for repairs they will fix that.... have fun with your phone because i cant stop

If ur 6710 is slow then u can either upgrade the software or format the phone,by holding call button * and 3 at the sametime bt the phne must b off and then b switchd on hold the buttons til the nokia on the screen gves a flash,if the coumtry suggestion doesnt cme up then u have formated it incorectly bt kp trying til u get it 2 wrk, the battery must b full,and mve all the data 2 ur mem crd cz it will b lost after formating.

Hi ther i totaly disagree i have a 6710 and ive never had any problems with mine its very responsive an fast,just the battery thats pretty crap,and the gps is fantastic.

In editing T9 text (like sms) you can save new words. Is there a way to look at that dictionary, or change words that are written wrongly ..??

I managed finally to open the face of the phone and cut the zoom bar and now the phone is working perfectly, it is very responsive, it really feels like a 600mhz cpu! If u can't open it, you just have to go to a service point and ask for that. And that warranty didn't serve you solving this problem, so why worry that you'll lose it, when your phone will work after that like a charm? If you love this phone do this, if not, sell it and quit complaining. BTW... by me magic key did not work !

The zoom problem is not the auto zoom of the ovi maps, it's the random zooming of the defective zoom bar that causes every application which uses the zoom bar to zoom randomly. I know the 6710 has text to speech ability.

But can it do talk/voice to text ? Or is there an app for that ?

They offer it to me in Spain for free now.

I´ve read that Nokia has now enough pieces in the world to change the ones that gave the problems. I have all possible guaranties that I will have my problems solved or will be given another phones.

The problem is that I like the phone and cannot find a similarly priced one with wifi, good camera, good display, not screen-touch...

What do you think?

problem with zoom ?

go to your gps, there click menu setting then disbale automatic zoom.
