I bought this phone from Vodafone Australia to replace my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. I'm totally sick of touch screens and prefer the classic keys of the 6730 Classic. You can't really type properly with a touchscreen with one hand. Now I can SMS/email/IM on one hand while the other has a drink, grocery bags or something else!
It's got all of the features of the 5800 except for wifi, which I don't use that much anyway. My 3G data pack is more than sufficient and I've got a laptop at home anyway.
Apart from the basic calls, SMS and MMS, I use the phone for basic web browsing, instant messaging (Nimbuzz), Google Maps (with AGPS), and Google Mail...all of which work perfectly on the 6730!

I've had this phone for a couple of days now, and the amount of trouble I've already gone to is simply outrageous. To begin with, when I first switched it on it had a blinking envelope at the top of the homescreen which usually means that there's an unread text message. I checked everywhere and in the end deleted all messages but it kept appearing. Of course, google.com is much more useful than any nokia.com support-help thing so I could finally solve the issue by inserting my SIM card to my previous phone and deleting all msgs there. As if that wasn't enough my contacts list, which I had just synchronized, didn't open. Just like that... you move on the icon, press the button and nothing happens.. so I had to do a software update to my phone on the very first day of using it. How hard can it be to get things like that right in the factory? The OVI suite seems to be working almost well enough to get the basic operations done but it could be a lot smoother in my opinion. Another thing that bewilders me is that I haven't yet found a way to insert birthday reminders on the calendar. I mean, after looking everywhere both on my phone and on ovi.com and ovi suite, I found that the only way to do that is on ovi.com contacts' list. That is when I create a new contact I can add their birthday details and it shows on my phone's contact list BUT NOT in my phone's calendar!? And more dissappointing for me is that it doesn't tell me how old the person will be on that day... I mean, hello? isn't this the whole point of mobile phone calendars to tell you on the right day who is getting how old so that you won't miss any big jubilees and anniversaries etc.? I couldn't find a way to do all that neither on my phone's nor my ovi account's calendar. It's just sad. Also, I forgot to mention before that it's a little weird that there are way more options and specifications as to the details of each contact on ovi.com than there are in the phone's contact list. I couldn't add any birthday info whatsoever if I didn't have access to a PC and internet. To end my comment on a positive note I'd like to point out something I really like about this phone, something I've been waiting for for a long time and that is that I can finally create a week plan for the alarm clock. As I work part time I have to wake up everyday at a different time and it is very convenient if I don't have to set the alarm time every evening. Thanks for reading. I should say though that I still think this is good phone and I'm sure there's lots of fun stuff I haven't yet discovered .. blah blah.. It's just that Nokia somehow manages to make things as complicated and inconvenient as possible and still sell their devices.
