To irialban@yahoo.com: maybe this solution will sound kind of primitive, butI have seen many other phones having the same problem; the thing is that you have to make the sim thicker, and the most used solution here is sticking adhesive tape layers on it's back. Still, don't make it too thick, it may bend the phone when replacing the battery. Luck.

Got the same "Insert sim card" problem. Seems that the sim card is a little too small to fit exactly in the socket, and when you snap open the cover, the shock sometimes moves the sim, and the phone disconnects from the network... pretty ugly. I changed the phone with another, and the problem it's still there, although much rarely. Could it be a design problem? If someone knows a fix (aside from glueing the simcard :), I would greatly appreciate if he shared it with me. Great phone, though. Love it.

The phone is problematic. It switches off by itself or displays "insert SIM card".

this phone is just 4 making and receiving calls! its so crap & simple & design and technology so old fashioned! a mitsubishi trium or ericsson is much much better!

absolutely amazing. i used this after using 3210,3310,8210,8850 sony z5 and panasonic gd92. this 1 is by far the best. doesnt weigh as much as it looks like. its a class apart. gr8 for "true" handfone users. Of course if u only wanna send/recv calls go for a mitsubishi trium ;)
