My phone works with the same original nokia battery 3 years now.I have 6210. I recharge it every 4 days. I believe it's good performance for an old battery..If i have to change it i will buy nokia again.I see the performance of non nokia batteries in my friends phones..I believe it is stupid to buy a cheap battery just to save money but taking the risk of bad performance or...BOOM in my face :) But you are right about nokia's marketing.Nokia is a company and the only think they care is the profit.

@ola ta sfazw
while you're at it, why don'y you try this link as well: http://www.kottke.org/03/10/no...es-exploding
then tell me that the problem is still the non-original batteries, because from my point of view, the problem is Nokia's greed for more profit.... as far as I know, all other phones work well with replacement batteries, it is only Nokia phones that do not work well with non-original batteries... coz simply they do not want other batteries to be used on their phones(although theses other bat. are good, perhaps even better than their own bat.)... well I do hope that your bat is original, coz isn't it scary to have a potential bomb in your pocket?! imagine it exploding while you are talking!
