I think Nokia phones' features are able to compete though. They are not so bad compared to the designs.

Nokia due to outsourcing for its production of phones are unable to compete competitively in terms of features and specifications and thus turn to bringing out designs different from other competitors. Nokia's marketing strategy is to stand out in terms of looks. This strategy may prove to work in the short term as they also release their phones earlier than competitors. Eg. 6230 was released in anticipation of the SE K700 and Motorola E398. However since the release of those two phones, sales of 6230 has fallen.

The designs may catch the attention of the so called fashion savvy people. But phones are not a fashion accessory and the current designs brought out are not only strange but poorly designed in terms of durability and ease of use.

I would recommend Nokia to revisit their marketing strategy, because in the long run, Nokia may eventually lose out to rest of the competition.

Nice design, good feautures for the category that refering to9fashion phone with decent features)...32mb of storage(yes 32 mb according to nokia)!!!Mp3 player capable(for ringtones since 32mb are not that much)

And with about 300 euros expected final price it will be a realy tempting offer for a mass of people who just want a good phone that looks fine and has a lot of "goodies" on it.

Where is the Megapixel Camera? No MP3 player and no bluetooth. What The? Start making phones that people will buy not use as paper weights

This Nokia seems to be the most promising out of the three new models.I personally like the color combination(Black and red) and the design of the interior. However,i dislike the exterior design a lot for the fact that its too 'flat'.Other than that i think this phone is pretty decent.Well,in terms of look that is.

the way nokia is churning out each new model, it is going down the drain..nokia your clamshell design sucks..not just sucks, but really really really sucks...even siemens designs (series c65) are wayyyyyy better...only siemens reliability is holding them back..the color.. ..everything...what a crap..
