Question: Is a 'mobile mini multimedia card' the same as a 'redused size - mmc' ? I want the phone but the 64mb is too small for the MP3 player, so I want to know what the cost is to upgrade to a 128mb.

According to this source, the nokia 7610 DOES have stereo sound. Can some1 tell me if that source is correct?

7610 has only 1 (one) minute voice recording. You must install an extended recorder software bye.

Does anyone know how many minutes of voice recording the 7610 does? Is it 3 min as in 6230?

7610 has good performance,but bad keyboard. When I push navigation key the C key also activates. Then I put thick stick on some keys.Nokia must design a new keyboard for this phone. Nokia phone designers! Did you use 7610 easily?

i would have bought this phone if it has a radio and a stereo mp3 player, also a lookable front design with better arrangement of keypad.

I got dis phone allady n yeah ... u can mp3 file as ur ringtone (onli lackin' of bass). Battery sucks ... last only 1 day on normal use ... anione wants to buy my phone? I'm in Malaysia.

RS-MMC is also a standard card slot. Nokia, Siemens and Samsung are using it in their coming phones.

BTW, MMC v.4 (not used in 7610) will be quicker than SD. Thus, MMC is still a living standard under development.

The SE K700 is no match for the 7610. If you want to compare it with something, why don't you compare it with something in the same class?

Nokia 7610 Vs Sharp GX30

The Sharp has
-better screen
-better MP3 quality (stereo)
-external colour screen instead of mirror
-quad-band
-standard card slot (SD Cards)
-of course also a 1.0MP cam

The Nokia 7610 has
-better operating system (Symbian)
-better design
-better price 9(the Sharp burnt a hole in my pocket)
-comes with more stuff in the box

Great features. But hate the design. Its a bit oversized. Its not really ugly. The design is just stupid. Why are the buttons like that? The only nokia with a pleasent design is the 6230. Shame that a phone with so great features looks like this

i am aware of this controvercial matter.
i had an6600 and i can tell u,
-I was really annoyed by the long time u have to wait when using a bigger memory card.
-7610has 8mb internal and a card, i ve read that in some cases (for the price)it is sold without the extra card!!!
-7610 cant use a standrd mmc,so u have to throw more money and buy a new redused one.
-imo if 40mb are not enough u will never be pleased,i just need the 10mp3 latest hits,i dont intent to listen hours from my mobil anyways battery cant support it.
-even having a BIG mmc u cant make long videos.
-1mpixel quality fotos needs more memory.
+eventualy if u throw big money,buy a big card u can enjoy more video-movies time and more java games-symbian games,
but with a little inferior quality than k700.if money isn t a problem u can buy a better phone.
For the mmc thing,it depends on the priorities someone has,
thats y i didn t mention that!

to the unknown who compared k700 and nokia 7610 i guess u are wrong 7610 is better coz of the mmc slot and i gues k700 has only 41 mb and u can't even store more mp3's...hehehehe

so k700 has:
-a better display
-better sounds(beats+fm radio)
-better connectivity
-better video recording and playing abilities
-better pic quality on vga resolution
-better price
-better size
+and 7610 has mpixel quality better than the extended thing on k700
-but no flash to use it night
+sumbian os so i can play sega megadrive games
+awesome beauty, to pick up chicks
+it is more expensive and it looks much more expensive, to pick up chicks
+women love the mirror in the back.
=>imo k700 is better made,
but 7610 looks much more impressive and has no major lucks.

Nokia 7610 CAN USE mp3 as ringtones. quicksilver u r wrong on that. Anyhow, phone is exellent... almost all features loaded into one!... wish it could support stereo & more beats in ringtones.

No it can't use mp3 as ringtones...But I've got a question 2. When I tested it at my local phone shop I shot some videos...But when I wanted to view these files, the playback was discontinue(in frames). Do all 7610 models act like this or is there something wrong with the phone that I tested?
