> In reply to Ivancapp @ 2013-01-08 15:22 from 7tM8 - click to readWhat can i say? Nothing new! They said that they will support Symbian at least till 2016 so i didn't expect 808 to be abandoned soon. Though, i said i don't expect another Symbian device after all of this. But, in my heart, still hoping for one. If you refer to what i've said earlier. I still don't think there will be an world official update .1508. maybe later and other numbers but not now and not .1508. At least, this is what i think.

> In reply to RODJ @ 2013-01-08 14:44 from t7V$ - click to readOh, i forgot that you cannot see any other update until you update to the latest firmware, sorry, my bad. You can try to install store by your self, if you have an older one this file should overwrite the older installation. Here is a link of the latest store client. It is Original file from Nokia, no worries:

If this doesn't work, then, there is no other way but format it as i've tolled you before. Or, if you have Nokia suite installed in your pc, and you want to install fp2, then install it. I don't recommend doing this update via ota(over the air, from your phone) i also don't recommend it to be written over the old apps. So either way, you should format your phone. You can install the new update without formatting but you can occur other problems. Bigger then the current one.So, what ever you chose, to update or not. I recommend you to do that format:).

> In reply to RODJ @ 2013-01-08 14:18 from t7V$ - click to readIf you never updated your store, then i don't think you will see it in installed apps area. You can try to see if there is an update for your store with your phone (if you can access internet with your phone). If you have net, then look for SW update in your phone. Hit and let it look for the updates, or plug it in your pc and see if your store has any update. If yes, install it and give it another try. if still don't work. Uninstall it and install it again (after the update you should be able to see the installer in your installed apps section, which is: Settings/Installations/Already Installed/Nokia Store Installer. Long press on it and remove

> In reply to localhyd @ 2013-01-08 04:03 from KFMF - click to readHey, one more thing. I think that the .1506 version is a branded firmware. I took a look with navifirm. And there are only a small amount of firmwares and are all mobile network based.

And for all of you guys. I don't think there will be a .1508 update for all the users. I don't even think that this is a changed firmware. I think is is also a branded firmware for eastern Europe Careers. There are only 7 firmwares and all have strange names:

ntd_ea_russian_ru_black
ntd_ea_russian_ru_white (this ones look normal)
ntd_mea_a_mea_4_black
RM-807 VAR PRC CN CV Black
RM-807 VAR PRC CN CV White
RM-807 VAR PRC CN CV RED
RM-807_TMN_PT_VAR247601_1508_001 BLACK_V2

This is it. So don't extect your updates to soon. If there will be any with this number.

> In reply to 12xu @ 2013-01-08 10:44 from M}JE - click to readHey, my friend, nope, i don't have it. I wanted to buy it and give my n8 to my girl. But there have been some change of plans cause she bought a Nokia 701 (way faster then my n8:)) i still love mine though!:P So now i pushed the purchased back for some months. There is no rush, at least i try to say this and to control my self not to pay money for something i already have:)). But it will be my next one for shore. At some point i thought about getting this or lumia 920. It is very tempting to. But, NOPE, This one is better for me. Especially now, when i tried the new fp2 for more the couple of minutes:P.

> In reply to Haris @ 2013-01-08 07:34 from vI4S - click to readHey, i'm good Haris, thank you! Hope you doing good to.
I am sorry but the page you gave me, doesn't exist in n8fanclub. Maybe you didn't copied all the address. Anyway... There is no problem installing other product codes in your phone. Phoenix will change your product code automatically. But, there is a problem if you try to install a custom fw older then the original one (will not work, will brick your phone). So, if you want to be safe and let's say that you have 113.10.1507 you should install a custom firmware with the exact same source code. This is good for the warranty to. Also, don't install custom firmwares with higher numbers then your original one either, let's say: .1508. Cause, you will not be able to go back to your original fw but only when it updates (if it does). And if the guys from care center will see that you have another product code you may have a problem. They may take your phone out of warranty. Now, if you want to upgrade to original fw 1508 but your product code is not updated yet. Normally there is no problem but this small little issue: That you have another product code and cannot go back. Let's say if something bad happens to your phone in the meantime and need to take it back. Then maybe be a problem:). And as for your old freezing problem. I don't think that the new firmware will resolve that. I think that this problem is cause by a hardware failure. I've read that some of the people took it back and Nokia changed their sim-card slots and now they don't have any problem... Now i don't know how real is that, but now i doubt that there is a fw problem anymore.

by the Way, am from germany

> In reply to RODJ @ 2013-01-08 04:36 from t7WJ - click to readHey, did you tried with a factory reset? Normally should work! If you don't want to upgrade to fp2, even though it is quite good (ok, you loose some things, but you gains some things to), you can try a factory reset. First backup, but only your important data (contacts messages) no settings or apps (you will need to set your phone and reinstall your apps after this). Now, hit the call button and dial *#7370# it will ask you for approval and then for your security code (if you have any). Hit yes, give your sec. code and then your phone will restart. The format will take from about 2 to 10 minutes. So don't panic, live the phone to do it's job. It may appear only Nokia while formatting or it may show that is loading for some minutes. Just wait until it's over then retry your Nokia store.
