Hi All,

I'm from Mumbai,India.I wish to buy this Phone.I tried all websites including Saholic,Flipkart and others too but sadly none of them having this phone in their stock and no signs of getting back.i checked in atleast 15 stores in Mumbai,Nobody has this phone in return they gave advice "Don't buy this useless phone when you have droids for cheaper cost" i just smiled on poor faces and came out of store without arguing with them.

Does anyone from Mumbai,India can help me out to buy this phone for 25k?

> In reply to Richard @ 2013-01-03 18:45 from Ns4Y - click to readMaybe the theme wasn't compatible? I had my old S60v3 Symbian freeze when I tried a Symbian ^3 theme (but I switched to a normal theme in Jbak TaskMan). Both were .sis files but when I opened them I saw that Nokia changed the vector graphics format.

Hi peeps!
Please do not install software from sites and developers that are not trusted..especially when the phone warns you. Some day I installed some themes from some crazy site and now my phone is dead. I have tried all I could to regain even the data in there but all in vain.

life goes on but I am obviously sad to imagine that the loss is so much just for the silly themes I downloaded. I am now torn apart between 808 and Lumia 920.

But somehow, I shall decide before Easter..in the meantime I keep on encouraging peeps to only download and install safe content....please.

Maybe this article its to long but i've prefered to post it as it was so you (or other friend from the forum) could notice details that might refering to linux-meego-symbian or other os.
No case for advertising android, quite the opposite!!!

Btw i use Nokia more than 15 years and as a N8 user last 2 years its intuitive i like Symbian.

And yes, this Ubuntu sounds a stolen MeeGo/ now Jolla Sailfish idea, with an android kernel that in fact is an Linux kernel. But i don't understand why this would confirm my conspiracy's? What exactly from this article, makes you be shore it makes my conspiracy a true story?

@ Carol,
Good morning Carol&have a nice day,
I'm sure you remember the conversation about linux maemo and android (copy in a test a take more points from your friend you've copied from :))))))))))
So, here is the proof, it was not just your theory and conspiracy but officialy its more than correct all the things you have said:
Today i saw an article so i'm sending it to you translated from greek to english with googletranslate. However i'm sending to you also the adress so you can find it original and translate whatever you think its important:
""The most popular Linux distribution, Ubuntu marching on smartphone""
..."A new Member will be added to the list of operating systems for smartphones. In late 2013 or early next year, 2014 is expected to release the first smart phones with Ubuntu, announced by London Canonical. The free operating system that use 20 million users around the world will give life to your PC and smartphone. Earlier, smartphone with Android will wear the popular Linux distribution to run Android and Ubuntu when connected to a large screen (Ubuntu for Android). This is the Canonical Ubuntu Phone. The lock screen is no longer an obstacle, said when presenting the Mark Shuttleworth, but welcome to the accumulated messages, or calls active table update for the available airtime cell phone program. Each side of the screen is to release valuable screen space a smartphone and when touched reveals some form of functionality, without unlocking the phone and without limitation to access any app so the user can place on the left side the app that uses frequently, touching the right returns to the app running on change settingssee the options below for the current app.The search is expanded and single-the results are grouped according to the source (e.g. books from the local library, results from the WWW, music from the collection). With a touch also is the access to the applications or the material that the user often uses (such as contacts, videos or music). In Ubuntu phone will run what are called Web apps and HTML5-running on any device but the so-called native apps that will grow to exploit to the fullest the capabilities of hardware-with Canonical to provide particularly important the games.Excellent is the ability to control something the user choosing to fast with a swap of left the app you want (e.g. to take a look at Facebook) and return to the app that used mainly with a swap from the right. Also, the bar of updates at the top, the user will be able to intervene in individual settings directly without having to go to the settings screen.See Canonical's co-founder to Ubuntu phone...."

> In reply to Gitty @ 2013-01-03 10:06 from 7j{U - click to readIt's a brand new minor update. It may seem big at 420mb on Nokia Suiye but it's justbwill be a minor one OTA.
It really depends on your 808's product code. If your product code is listed at Navifirm, chances are you will get it soon thru Nokia Suie. But why wait? If you could get the latest firmware at Navifirm, download it and use Phoenix. Still the best and fastest way to update for Nokia phones.

> In reply to Gitty @ 2013-01-03 10:06 from 7j{U - click to readI don't think it has something to do with Phoenix. This pogram is an advaced tool made by Nokia for it's Care departament. So, when you take it back to update, they will use Phoenix for that. Your problem maybe came along with c. Fw.... or ir was just an illusion or something....
