> In reply to Nik @ 2013-05-15 19:37 from vbMt - click to readnot sure I understand what you mean, but I see no reason to be annoyed when comparing these 2 OSes. Everyone has different needs but Android does the same things Symbian is capable of(and even less I might say) just in another manner, only the support for and number of apps and games are lower in Symbian. Recently there were 2 new updates so even if it's not promoted anymore still things are improving. In the end it only depends on what you buy your phone for, although the prices have dropped so much for this that I consider buying a second one:), you can always use along with it if you don't like symbian another low-middle WP/Android phone...

> In reply to iamsujeet @ 2013-05-15 00:04 from 7tBw - click to readDear friend, If I may put it this way, it doesn't really matter whether Symbian is dead or not, because this phone is so awesome. In fact, the majority owners of 808 in this blog are satisfied with their phones and don't regret it. Like someone said: "this phone may not be everything but this phone is something".
In terms of usability/usefulness, no doubt that this phone will still be rock for several years. It has a decent hardware, good performance, complete features. Please also be aware that the Belle FP2 OS running on this phone is "the lattest modern evolution of Symbian" (which is mature and has got almost everything on it).
Don't worry about apps propaganda, that's not entirely true. If you are diligent you can find enough apps from Nokia Store, 808/N8 Fan Club, and many other sites. And If this phone is hacked you can get many more 3rd party apps.

I suggest to Steve take a look at macro shots taken with 808 some are even in direct sunlight...
I admire Mr Steve i follow him everywhere admire his photo ability but dont understand how can he equate 808 camera with crapy S4 camera all phots taken with S4 are too much forced sharpen and contrast.. he gave more point to S4 in all phots... even they undeserve 5 point with my eye but he gave 9 or 10 point i m not photgrapher i m terrible in photography but i'm a graphic designer and i have visual pleasure as like all beginner camera users.. all samsung cameras are same there are something annoy my eyes... it is clear that because of post processing on photos samsung

Ziad/Carol,
Ordered My Black 808 pureview online just now. Waiting for the order to get confirmed. If order gets confirmed I should have my pureview in next 3-4 days.
Since I use 2 sims, once I have 808 pureview with me, I still have one slot free to enjoy this technology once we get a real pureview ported to Windows phone 8.
Will keep you guys posted as I get my pureview.

> In reply to sas @ 2013-05-14 17:11 from upYL - click to readdespite the low resolution...Nokia 808 pureview has stunning screen with very vivid colors and vibrant contrast...I imagined it will be like (DOS) screen due to all the reviews on YouTube, but I shocked when I saw it the first time... it's sharp on camera pictures and movies beside it's the best all over the world to deliver amazing outdoor contrast under sunlight...great at menu viewing performance...Nokia's clear black display won't let you down...trust me

guys I'm having a nokia 5800xm now I wanna buy a new mobile my budget is 20k indian rupees. I like symbian more because of its fast internet and simple UI and good battery backup also no heating and capability to connect internet to pc via mobile. I'm no app and games hungry I just need a good camera, fast browsing and some music and a good screen thats it . Is it a good mobile to buy in this time ? Because symbian is officially dead please help I dont change mobiles too frequently if I buy a phone I will have to stick on that at least a year please suggest me ?

> In reply to S . SUDHAKAR @ 2013-05-14 17:45 from ut%C - click to readthose are old phones and micro-sim is now the trend.. Normal sim will eventually fade out. As you can see high end smartphones today are now using micro-sim. It is not a problem at all i guessed for the majority! It is a concern but that is not a problem!!
