41mb 1080p@30fps is just plain rubbish.

One does not simply record a 1080p video as small as 41mb.

> In reply to gagatov @ 2012-04-08 02:19 from pjee - click to readJust some clarifications:
It is actually the sensor that captures the 41 megapixels. Lens quality is the first thing that determines how good a camera gathers light details. A good lens that gathers light details very well makes sure that the sensor receives a good image. Check out the sample photos. Judge them yourself.

my question is... Out of all the apps thats on android or mac, which ones do you use? And do you use all of them... at the same time? No? Thats what i thought. Most people choose a phone for one or two particular features. For instance, i love taking pictures(yes i have a dslr but it wont fit in my pocket). Now why would i get a phone that has a lighting speed processor but a 3.15mp camera? 3.15 aint bad, but wouldnt you choose a 12mp(what more 41mp) over a lousy 3.15?.

don't you know that Nokia is more interested in camera than .......upto date fone features this days.
what more do you expected from officially discarded symbian OS ?

Wow, the camera specifications look just brilliant. I am curious when should we expect the interchangeable lense (or SLR) cameraphone from Nokia? ;-) But seriously, I would like to believe that the resolution of that small lenses used in mobile phones may at least somehow comply with that high resolution matrixes. 41 MP - reasonably impressive. But if the resolution of the lense is low, the quality of the image will still lack, whatever if the matrix is 41MP, 12 MP or those unbeliveably small 3.1 MP. The high resolutions of matrixes in that case just do not make any sense and are just waste of material and money. However, N8 is for sure a genius phone, especially its incredible camera. I hope and wish Nokia 808 PureView to follow and improve the success of its predecessor :-) Good luck :)

> In reply to vinay @ 2012-04-07 15:00 from vImi - click to readYes. The Nokia 701 with the current videoplayer works very well with Divx. Just make sure the audio is stereo (Mulitchannel audiostreams are not supported.) Perhaps in the new belle FP1 upgrade multi-channel audio works which should be usefull because it has HDMI-out.

The price will come down but you are getting an impressive amount of kit..The N8 has done me well and i see this as my replacement..If you go into a nightclub and film Nokias MEMS microphones hold up fantastically on N8 with no recorded distortion.I am sure the 808 will do an even better job with video recording in testing enviroments ie bad light..So roll on the Nokia 808..

I'm so getting one of these..., btw some posts asks about performance against android phones. Well, here is my answer after using both OS, symbian requires less cpu, so a single core accomplishes the same as a multiple core, and battery live is improved.

Oh, and remember it has a DEDICATED cpu on the imaging processing side of the equation.

So, if you are going to make a point, please inform yourself before

> In reply to marvelprash @ 2012-04-07 17:27 from 7qxH - click to readthe galaxy s2 users are 50 times the n8 users so it is normal to find more google search results for the s2.
i liked the quality of the photos which were taken by nokia 808 ,even when zooming the quality does not change,i highly advice this phone for the people who are looking for the best camera in a mobile phone ever, but they should keep in mind that symbian os is no match for iOS,android, and windows phone.

what a stupid phone..... a rear 41 MP but the front camera is just a VGA . I hope nokia realizes this and moves some pixels from the rear cam to front

no quad core processon

not eought ram speed for a 2012 smart phone expect 1 gb ram

Speed HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps not up to date with teh market trend.

design is goood but to thick to handle.

could have gone with a better battrey with thsere dimentions.
