I tried it myself when the update said it now supports subs, pre Anna i think. You just need to rename the subtitle file same as the movie file and in the same folder.

havent tried the mkv subs yet though.

I see you are ALSO planning to use this for watching anime on the go... Nice!

N8 did support MKV but with external subtitles. Hopefully this one has better codecs that support soft-subbed MKVs.

About your post about prices... Weird that your comments get deleted, but mine don't...

Camera is very good I will say best available till date but should have been bundled with a best flash as well as a double of battery..

> In reply to Ranju @ 2012-03-29 07:28 from bJiy - click to readNokia 808 doesn't need a powerful CPU. 1.3 GHz is just fine since it runs Nokia Belle. N8 that has about half of that processing power, runs fast enough. It will most likely run faster and smoother than Sgs2, cause Android is a too heavy OS.

Nokia 808 got the best new device award of MWC 2012. Samsung and Apple didn't even unveil their supposedly flasgship models at the MWC. IMO, they were afraid of Nokia's new smartphone.

Wonder if there will be a homebrew port of Meego for this device... One could only dream. but eventually transforming Symbian into Meego would have been oh just so promising for nokia.

Lets be optimistic. ( I highly doubt nokia want to stick with Blue Screen of Death os on their beautiful HW for long)

> In reply to samsunglover @ 2012-03-28 12:10 from fs10 - click to readIn fact what you are saying is crap...samsung is the company which has copied the patents from other companies in order to enter the smartphone and now is the competitor and thats why has to sell their phones at a cheaper rate as its a cheap model...other all the other brands have set their standards and still sell their phone, if you go back 4 years u had only crap phones which could only be used as an option to other handsets....or cant be prefered to use as well,,...

How does this phone have a better standby time on 3G then 2G. that can't be right, I've never seen a phone have it like that before. It's a big difference too, nit just a few hours.
