Jimmy Utama, 11 Apr 2012I just wonder why Nokia uses Belle on this more-than-smart phone. I wish it use, well at least... moreBelle is actually the best choice for this. The hardware requirements for Belle (as with other Symbian versions) are low. The camera module was specifically made for the Symbian platform. As for Windows Phone, its restrictions rival that of the iOS. The biggest fault if WP is that it does not have sideloading support.
Remember how iOS requires iTunes to save music to the device? Well, WP requires Zune. No bluetooth transfer of mp3's either.
Android is very poorly optimized. It requires more powerful hardware to run smooth such as dual-core CPU, powerful GPU, 1GB RAM, huge battery life. These components are not cheap, and will definitely increase the price of the phone.
Besides, a dual-core phone may not be practical. The OS might be programmed to use multiple cores, but you can't say the same for apps. Almost all apps are written for single-core only. Those apps cannot really take advantage of multiple cores.
I just wonder why Nokia uses Belle on this more-than-smart phone. I wish it use, well at least, Windows Phone. Yet I really wish Nokia launch the Android phone instead of ever-decreasing Symbian & Mango's handsets.
does this phone has a native SIP client, as it has in most of the Nseries and Eseries phones. for example in my N79 nokia has provided a native SIP client which works with any voip serivce provider

Everything else on the Nokia 808 is excellently fine BUT the only problem I have is the kind of body casing this phone is made of. It's made of cheap plastic most probably! Please my dear Nokia factory guys, please make a better body casing for this phone! I'll surely buy all colors of it if it's made of a hard carbon polymer or titanium or aluminum!

avi, 10 Apr 2012which is better? 3x losses zoom at high price or 8x or 10x optical zoom at low price.3x lossless zoom is twice as better.
The 808 PureView will be shipped with the official Microsoft Office app pre-installed.

3x losses zoom at high price or 8x or 10x optical zoom at low price.Well the thing about this phone is being able to take great shots without having to carry an extra gadget. Do you go around with your phone AND a camera all the time?
Anyway, This will be a nice replacement for N8, hope it comes out soon!

You want to know my top app? (Every Symbian phone I and my family have has this):
SPB Shell 3D. Its UI is way better than
Expensive, but VERY WELL WORTH the cost.
Pre-ordered from Nokia Store. Actually, it was more of a "reservation". But still, I am assured I can buy a unit the moment it gets released. Just waiting for their call.
zymesh, 10 Apr 2012why you condoning to piracy? if you dont support the developers no one will make them. Symbian... moreOh, and I forgot...
Here in the Philippines, downloading apps directly to the PC, then transferring them to the phone can be cheaper than downloading them directly to the phone. The cheapest (but already expensive) internet services here that people use for WiFi tend to have an INTERMITTENT AND SLOW connection. Try downloading a 20MB game on your phone with an intermittent/slow connection.
