why nokia ignoring the customers of symbian os perhaps they supported nokia for a long period.nokia 808 they realse software update 13 months back and simply realsing small updates which makes the phone unstable and wrose very bad nokia.
It's so hard to find apps and games for Nokia 808 anywhere outside the Nokia Store. I want to download paid apps and games for free. Really appreciate any help... Since Nokia has sold its device units and services divisions to Microsoft,
if perhaps there will a software update then i warm all to not install it as it may further make Nokia 808 PureView work slow, lag, crash and thus, wanting us to switch to Windows phone OS. Goodluck. I'm new to Symbian and i don't know how to use it. /= Looks like the community has slowed down. Is it possible to install an apps from unknown resources in this phones, if yes how?

I agree with you also about symbian, I still missing alot of things that Wp lacks, Symbian till now still very very very capable and fully feature os comparing to WP and every day I try the asha 501 or any asha I really feel that my heart will break cause Symbian was the perfect way for Nokia, rather than the useless asha platform which doesn't support viber, skype, video calls...so on
Im happy by your reply..stay tuned cause I will post my first quick review for lumia 1020
best wishes bro, thanks for your lovely words :D :-)

... moreWow, congrats! :-D
Thanks for the extensive report too. I envy you a little for your chance to play with so many gadgets. :-)))
925 seems OK too, it has some of the N8 spirit in the design. I know about macro shots, they say it's because of the wide angle lens so there's not much to do but get used to it. But that's Symbian, you learn how to work around things so you, in the end, still do more than other phones. If the other OS has a flaw they just say "No, you can't do that because Steve Jobs said NO!" or "Root your phone!!!" or "Microsoft is working on it. Maybe." but with Symbian usually you find a way. I'm afraid I still haven't tried WP, I only saw one Lumia 520 in the shop window and it was turned off. :-)

Ziad Mohamed, 20 Nov 2013Hi Carol, Siva, Pureview is the best, Gitty, Iqbal, MDN, Goerge 12, and all my friends here ... moreHey, first of all. congratulations! I salute you:). Second, i've tested the 1020 on the shelf also the 808. You are right, 808 has something funny on those buttons. I still cannot understand why Nokia made them so loose. Also the macro. Don't know why symbian has that weak spot. But overall 808 is a buy for me, 1020. Only if 808 does not exists. I got the chance to use windows more the just a day and i started to see some flows into the system which i really don't like and those are quite many. Symbian is still a winner for me, if Nokia would have given it more powerful hardware and a real browser. Symbian would have eaten everything alive...
