Kent, 02 Mar 2012Who needs a 41mp cam? Who needs a projector ?galaxy beam cough,,lolz,,Nokia dnt need a quadc... morewell, projector is still much useful for students and employees who works in their offices, the 41mp cam is designed for people who loves to take pictures outdoors with great resolutions, it's like you have an SLR cam with you. let us let them design what they want to design with their new phone to release, some certain phones were not designed for you, that's why you think you don't need it, they have their own target markets for it, and for sure they have made a unit that will suits your taste, please don't be descriminating, if you can develop and design your own phone, then do it :)
@ reply to maltie... Windows gonna hav 1gb ram n dual cores at Q4 of 2012!
hm...i see something big is coming, and 41MP is definitely just the begining. If the processing power is there for 41MP without causing annoying delays, power shortage and storage issue (10MB each?), why not?
Something evolving at the States is the launch of lightfield camera (i know, they are not the first) squeezing 11megablips (they call it megarays, whatever...) of lights and turn it into HD-sized post-refocusable photo.
And, they have mentioned they are looking for partnership, sometime last year.
If this two stories click, i think it will be pretty interesting.
windows os igb ram dual core processor could have replaced the present config
A really great "concept". If I were to bring this to the the beach or trekking for great photos, it should be rugged and waterproof. I think that would be a great niche. It's quite hard to do that with a delicate device with 1200mAh. believe me. I tried that with my n8. and please why would I buy a phone with an OS that's about to be scrapped? Imagine a phone that you could bring anywhere, capture everything in vivid HD and that can be used to upload your social networks in 4G. Minus the bulk it should be thin and sleek. I can dream can't I?
azzxuri, 01 Mar 2012i need a mobile not a camera :P i think most of the guys agree with meSony said that the Digital Camera industry is going down because of what? Smartphones! People are less likely to bring point and shoot cameras if they have a capable smartphone. The average digital camera has about 10-16MP - a lot higher compared to what smartphones offer. Some people are actually serious in imaging with their phones. That is why Nokia made the Nokia 808.
Helga, 02 Mar 2012Nothing new!

GSMARENA: "We rarely do interviews but the Nokia 808 is a real whopper. The sheer hype it generated yesterday almost took our site down for a moment."
Who else can do a 41mp camera with a singlecore?its only the Belle oS,,,if android can?may be they need 20 cores, lolz, in juz a click battery drains,
waoo i had this phone in my dream belive me ... but someone was giving it for me as a gift ....
my 1st impression on understanding the device? good work GSMArena in giving detailed information on this device! Nokia you are indeed back in game and will beat everybody... was this feeling permanent? not really! these are things which were easily noticeable, hence easily commented:
1) looks: definitely not premium... if Nokia calls it N8 successor, then the looks dept. should have given it similar looks if not better... my opinion? it sucks! Red is interesting though!
2) screen resolution? what is Nokia thinking? 3) battery? what is Nokia thinking? 4) Call management > Contacts > Detailed contact information... if it is the same as the one on Belle, then sorry boss, even my Samsung E2232 DUOS has better management of contacts and call log features (where can you find up to 7 features under Call Logs?) 5) no camera shutter? should i go for N9 or 808... ummmm... thinking...
