Nice phone, we've got this one at home. We only use it with the French Sim card (I live in Belgium, near the French border). But the battery is so dead!!! We have to leave it plugged all the time!
Matrix style!!!

Ok, I've had this phone. ITS NOT AUTO SLIDING!
The only "auto" sliding phone was the Nokia 7110, which had a little silver button in the back that when you pressed it, it would "auto" slide.
Do a search on google with the words
NOKIA 7110
And you should see pictures of it both in front and back. You'll see the little silver button =)

Yes it does auto slide, i got it when it first came out and there are two different versions, one has the slide and one doesn't. Europe got the none autoslide.

Can someone of owners of this phone model say, if it's really "self-sliding", or it's shown so only in movie?

The wrong choice to replace my 2110 in 1996. Nice shape but reception a real nightmare. Had to live with it for a year and a half. Then thank God came the 6110...

Just bought one the other day for €30. Needs a new battery, but those are for sale for €10. I love it's shape and simplicity and the fact that Morpheus used it to call Neo ;-)

A "must have" for all handphone collectors. Forever remembered as the "Matrix" phone.

There's quite a few 8110s floating around on ebay and the like in the US and Europe. Got one today for £5, it just about works, needs a new battery. Can get those too. Good signal on what it calls Cellnet!
Impressive for it's age! I love the old Nokias, and this being the matrix model, I had to have one. A classic.
